it's a matter of class.

Teachers "may lead the class, but students determine if a class is mediocre or outstanding" -Rafe Esquith, Teach like your Hair's on Fire (page 13).

I love this quote. So true. I haven't even finished the book yet, and have found some great teaching ideas. Someday I'd love to add it to my collection of teacher books. Right now it consists of Educating Esme by Esme Raji Codell--a book I would also highly recommend for teacher-y people. I chose this for a book project awhile back and thoroughly enjoyed Esme's creativity and personal experiences as a teacher. Also in my book wishlist are two books by teacher Phillip Done, Close Encounters of the Third Grade Kind and 32 Third Graders and One Class Bunny. You can find out about both books on his website here. I love the humor in these books.

It's books like these that truly inspire me to become a teacher. And a good one, at that.
