"Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude. Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will bless you for it" (1st Peter 3:8-9, NLT).
This is my focus verse for the week. And trust me, there are times when loving is just plain hard. Much harder than seeking retaliation. Especially when it comes to empty promises. But I'm choosing to give it to God and let him take my troubles away from me.
And while I know you're not here to read about miracles, I can honestly say my life has been way better since then. Way better.
I guess it only shows how amazing God really is.
