week in review.

so sad to see scuff marks already.

Am I the only one who feels like they're getting younger and younger as the weekend draws near? What makes the weekend so much better is the fact that Christmas is only a few days (DAYS, people!) away.

I'm looking forward to going to church tomorrow night. I always look forward to singing Christmas carols (in fact, a few weeks ago, I played Christmas carols on my viola with my sister and a few other girls in between church services). Christmas music always make me way cheerier.

Then on Sunday, we'll be waking up early (making coffee for my dad as part of the tradition), lighting our Advent wreath, singing happy birthday to Jesus, then opening presents by the tree. Usually we have something special for breakfast, but I'm not sure what it'll be this year with church and Christmas on the same morning. Then on Sunday, it'll be a gathering with the extended family at my aunt and uncle's. Can't wait for food, games, and stories.

Enough of me, though. What are your Christmas traditions (new ones and old ones included)?

Here are a few of my faves from this week in blogworld:

1.Chocolate leaves? Yep, they're as cool as they sound.

2. I love it when bloggers update their blogs. It's always inspiring. And it makes me want to be a cool blogger who can speak HTML and CSS (total blogger fail: still don't know what or if CSS stands for something).

3. Super easy Advent calendar ideas that I want to use when I have kids.

4. I've always been a fan of jewel tones. And gold has been another fave this Christmas season.

5. Simple Christmas tree desktop backgrounds.

6. Two pretty holiday table setting ideas (here and here).
