miss kiki.

One of the coolest feelings as a teacher is being called Miss Kiki. Maybe not if your name isn't Kiki, but you get what I mean.

It's not because I'm big into manners (okay, that's a lie), but because it made me realize that these little kids know me by name, just like they know their friends, their parents, and their siblings.

And it's not that I want to be their best friend per se, I just like to hear that they actually know who I am. I'm not just the lady with the bright green playdough on her pant seat (true story, though!). Or the girl who brings tissues if you have a runny nose (also a true story). Or the crazy lady who dances like a maniac in front of the class while singing the Hokey Pokey.

So being called Miss Kiki was (and is!) pretty special to me.

And that's all I have to say.

    1. Oh, thanks! As cheesy as this sounds, it really is a great feeling to know that the kids know my name. And it's so great to hear from new readers! Thank you for stopping by!
