another lately post.

real life, lately.
brighter

This was quite the week. I could focus on the fact that I was sick and stressed, but that wouldn't make for a good read now would it?

Anyway, here's a look into the parts of my life that are quite possibly a little more interesting:

My mom made cookies. Wait, take that back. She always makes cookies. Probably the best (okay, one of the best) things about living at home.

I had a kid tell me that I'm really fast. Of course, when that kid told me I heard, "Teacher Kiki, you're really fat!" Which left me, well, speechless to say the least. Fortunately, I asked the kiddo to repeat what they said and I heard it correctly the second time. I'm definitely not the fastest person in the world, but I'll take that compliment any day over what I heard the first time around.

But I'm done! I'm done! I'm done! I'm relieved yet a little sad that my solo teaching week is over. And you'd better believe I celebrated by taking a nap.

Lastly, I just want to say how grateful I am for my lead teacher (the mentor, instructor, and mama of the class). She's seriously a second mom to me. She's protective, caring, full of advice, and always smiling. She's that awesome.

And now, I'm off to watch Hawaii Five-0 and maybe even Revolution. This week deserves some good television, I tell ya.

Enjoy your weekend, friends!
