real life lately
grapefruit

This week was all about Thanksgiving. And because there are so many things to be thankful for, I figured it was a good idea to make this post about all things I've been blessed with this week.

Because when you think about it, Thanksgiving should be celebrated 365 days a year, right? And yes, that includes the stuffing, mashed potatoes, and roasted carrots, too.

So here's what I'm thankful for this week:

Grapefruits. Those pink little fruits are still my favorite. And yes, that's me up there eating one way back when.

A long weekend. I haven't had a break from school since September so a long weekend was way overdue in my book. It feels so nice to sleep in. So very, very nice.

My internship teacher/instructor/mentor. She told me that she could see me as a middle school teacher. Truth be told, I've always been a little afraid of middle schoolers. Too much drama, too much mascara, and too many cliques for me. But to know that she believes in me and my dream of being a teacher (whatever the age may be) means the world to me. It really does.

My family. They're crazy, even a little annoying at times but I couldn't live without them.

The freedom I have to thank God for everything He's blessed me with. And for all the lessons He's taught me and experiences He's presented me that have shaped who I am. #blessed

How was your Thanksgiving? Did you go Black Friday shopping? And am I the only one who thinks Black Friday shopping should begin on Friday (and not Thursday)?
