These past two weeks have been truly amazing. Not too productive and not to the point where I'm bored, but just perfect. Right now, I'm not too focused on being busy. Sometimes breaks from work/school are a good reminder that it's not a bad thing to soak in the peace, the calm, and the relaxation every now and then.
Sure, it'll be a hard transition back into the schedule, deadlines, and alarm clocks come the January, but I'm hoping this break will rejuvenate me as well. We all need a break, amiright?
Anyway, this week involved baking gingerbread cookies (yum!), making cinnamon-applesauce ornaments for Sunday School, taking cold walks in the snow (and it came before Christmas--how crazy is that?!) and babysitting, too. Our kitchen has smelled like cinnamon for the past week now and I'm not ready for them to all disappear come Sunday.
Not ready at all.

Kiki, that all sounds so lovely. I wish the snow would make its way down to western North Carolina. And I also know exactly what you mean about soaking in the relaxation over the break. I keep reminding myself that it's okay to sit back because it will be crazy busy again come January. Much love to you today!

DeleteA day ago I would have been totally jealous of all the snow you have, but it finally snowed all day yesterday here! I just hope it stays for Christmas now! And I'm totally with you on the relaxation. I've been working a lot since its close to the the Holidays, but otherwise I've really been keeping the productivity low around here haha.
