real life, lately.

fridayhearts
Another week has come and gone. Let's just say somebody is counting down the weeks until graduation. I'm not really at the point of counting the days, but when I get there, you'd better believe I'm going to let you know.

This week was operation disinfectant-clean-down. I was constantly washing my hands, cleaning my electronics, and using hand sanitizer like a crazy lady to avoid whatever is going around my campus. It's rampant and I'd rather not jump on that bandwagon.

And as a total rant, I just want to say that it kind of disappoints me how taking a sick day from school is pretty much impossible--especially as you get older. I get the whole hooky-thing, but really? Is it really a good idea to practically force us to go to school when we're sick because we can't make-up work? What happened to the whole germ-sharing-is-bad mentality? It's a bit ridiculous in my mind, if you didn't get that notion already.

But that's enough of that. This week I tried really hard to understand the drama that is otherwise known as The Bachelor. I'm sorry, but I just don't get it. And yes, I know I'm going to get a lot of hate mail (or I can at least feel the hate-thoughts coming on) for this one.

On a more positive note, I found myself laughing a lot during ballroom dancing. In my opinion, it's definitely one of those things where there's a fine line between concentrating and over-thinking and messing up. Let's just say that the latter does not end well when dancing with someone else. Fortunately, repetition has been uber helpful. Practice pretty much takes the form of dancing in my room by myself in front of my little mirror and trying not to run into my exercise ball aka desk chair. Wonderful mental image, right?

Preschool has been on my mind a lot lately. I'm thinking more and more about working in a preschool so I can take a break from schooling. I'm not sure if that's where God is leading me in the long run, but I can feel Him putting preschool on my heart and path in the near future.

Update me on your life, please! My life is feeling a little boring right now.

    1. It really is. I'm really enjoying it and think it would be a lot of fun to try teaching that age for (at least) a little while. Thank you for the prayers!! It really means a lot to know that someone is praying for me. :)

  3. I obviously don't understand your lack of Bachelor interest. Actually, that's a lie. I completely understand, it is ridiculous... but I can't stop watching! I am WAY too invested in these girls. I think it's just my relational self, I love studying people and trying to figure out their stories and what drives them. That is why I am a sucker for reality TV. That's just who God made me to be, I like to think he understands my addiction to trashy television. :)

    1. I think a lot of Bachelor viewers think that way. Cheesy and ridiculous yet addicting at the same time. I guess the part I don't like is how unrealistic it is relationship-wise. But I can totally see how it could be addicting!

And I love how you have a heart for others and their stories! That's something I love, too. And no worries, I'm totally a fellow reality TV watcher. :)
