dis/encouraged.

takeheart
I debated blogging about this and still am, to tell you the truth. Nothing major, just a little discouraging moment from school. Life is frustrating sometimes, amiright?

Today was one of those days when things just didn't work like I wanted them to. I'm sharing this partly in a selfish way as blogging is my therapy and partly because I don't ever want to come across as the girl with perfect grades, perfect hair, and a perfect life.

After finding myself dwelling on this one discouraging moment in school (especially in the car--thanks for listening, Mom!), I decided to Google "encouraging Bible verses" because I was still frustrated, discouraged, and stressed out. I was in dire need of something to lift my spirits.

That search is how I came across this verse from the book of John. It's quite comforting, right? I'm not entirely sure what the phrase "take heart!" means but reading it brought me instant comfort and a case of the warm fuzzies (no joke). I like to think of it as a reminder to look at your heart and realize that troubles are nothing compared to all that fills your heart. It could be your family, your puppy, your boyfriend/husband, or your friends. Oh, and maybe Jesus, too?

So after reading this verse, I was reminded of all that fills my heart. Which brings me to these next two words:

Thank you.

Lately, I've been feeling so encouraged, supported, and loved by my fellow bloggers and blog readers. You guys encourage me to be real, to persevere, and to pursue Jesus harder. So thank you. A millions times over.

You've changed my heart (for the better) and filled it, too.

    1. It definitely was a great reminder for me and I'm glad it was for you, too. And yes, that was another great part of the verse! Peace is something I could use more of right now, too. This verse seriously did wonders for me today!
