It's days like today that I'm thankful for photography. Thankful that I can press a button and see pretty photos. Thankful that I can press a button without knowing what I'm really doing and still get some decent photos. Oh, and I'm thankful for my camera, too. That little guy has been part of my life for nearly four years now and I don't regret one dollar spent on him. Even if he stole someone else's heart before me (I bought him used and I like to think of him as my adopted camera).

And yes, I'm weird and I know it.

At least I don't name cars, musical instruments, or clothes.

p.s. I tried a shamrock shake with my sister the other day and wasn't too impressed. Even though I love mint, I guess I just prefer my soft serve ice cream and frozen yogurt?

  1. Seriously jealous of your photography skills over here. These photos are all gorgeous and so full of light! Wonderful shots :) Also I wasn't super impressed by the shamrock shake either!

Oh, and I'm one of those crazy people who names their car. Her name is Roxanne but I call her Roxy ;)

    1. Thank you sweet friend! I feel the same way about your photos!

And I'm glad I'm not the only one who wasn't impressed with the shamrock shake! I much prefer smoothies and milkshakes to those green sips.

And no worries, I'm sure I would name my own car if I didn't share one! :)

    1. Aw, thanks! Except I really don't consider myself talented at all!

And I actually just use my kit lens (18-55mm). I've been wanting a 50mm lens for awhile now but just haven't broken down and gotten one yet.

What kind of camera (and/or lenses) do you use?

    1. Thank you! That means a lot hearing it from a photographer like you!

And I'll add that into my post for tomorrow! Although as a spoiler alert, it's really not that exciting seeing as I'm a broke college student. :)

  4. I echo what everyone else says - great photos, Kiki! You've got some serious bragging rights going on here, gral! I still drool over the bright, soft hue you always capture...and find myself trying to mimic it with some of my photos...although my picture taking has sorta gotten put on back burner for a little while!

Yes, I concur with the Shamrock Shake. I personally thought it tasted like frosting and that's just gross. And Ikea? Feels like I've been there a lot lately!

    Love this post, friendie!

And I'm glad I'm not alone in that shamrock shake stuff. It wasn't really my fave either!

    1. That was actually a really lucky shot because I caught while my dad was driving in the car! But I'm with you, mountains (and just the outdoors in general) make me fall more in love with God. His creation is beautiful beyond words. :)

    1. Yeah, it was actually a lucky buy from a used camera store years back and so while I technically still bought him, he's still adopted in my mind! :)

    1. Thanks! Yes, Canon cameras are definitely worth the money (and a lot of money, at that!).

I bet your car's name is cuter than any I could come up with! I'm boring and can never come up with cute ones that don't sound cheesy. :)

    1. Those little tarts were super yummy! I made them for a family get together and they were delicious! :)

And yeah, I agree about desserts from McDonalds. They were definitely overrated in my book! I've never had a sweet tea before (as in never) so I just might have to try one someday!
