a letter--to you!

letter
Dear readers friends,

You know, like every blogger says at one point in their lives, I never imagined that blogging would be my thing. I never imagined that this blog would create friendships, strengthen my relationship with Jesus, and build on my photography, too.

But enough about me. Let's talk about you. First off, you are some of the kindest people I know. I am lucky in that the only bad comments I get are spam--which are more annoying than mean. I am lucky in that I have people out there, all over the country, who I can call friends. You're more than friends, really, you're my blogging family. You're the people I turn to when I'm struggling, when I'm excited, and when I'm in need of prayer.

You're the people who so kindly take the time to ask how I really and truly am, ask if you can pray for me, and send me virtual hugs (which are always received with open arms. Open arms, get it?). Anyway, I want you to know that I love you guys. I love you and I appreciate your kindness and generosity. I want you to know that I can and have felt your prayers (even if you say them from miles away). It's funny, up until this year, I never really understood what it felt like to be prayed for. This year, I felt it and I'm lucky I did.

I also want you to know how much you've taught me. You've taught me to seek Him first, to let go of my fears, to never stop believing, and to find beauty in the everyday. You've taught me a lot and I can't wait to keep learning from you.

I want you to know that I'm here for you. I don't want to be just a recipient of your kindness. I want to be a giver and reciprocater. I want to pass on the blessings that you've given me. So I'm serious when I say this, I want to pray for you. I want to keep praying for you. And I want you to know that I am praying for you.

I also want you to know  that I don't know what my life would be like without you, and that I would love to meet each and every one of you someday.

I'm not quite sure how to end this post, because it feels like I'm going somewhere and leaving this blog behind (which I'm most definitely not!). So I want to just send you all a hug, a prayer, and a two more words: THANK YOU.

...and that I really and truly love you all, too.

  4. Love this post, Kiki, because it expressed how I feel so well! When I first started blogging, I'd read of people talking about the amazing friends they'd met through blogging and I was like "what? how is that even possible?" and now I totally get it. And you're amongst the best, gral. :)

    1. I'm so glad you can relate! I was definitely one of those skeptics who doubted I could ever make real + true friends over something like a blog (I was even jealous at one point that I didn't have those friendships that so many bloggers blogged about). But now, I'm BEYOND grateful and it brings me so much joy to know that I have friends who are literally all over the country. You, my friend, are definitely one of the bestest of my blogging friends, too! :)
