bits and pieces.

It's FRIDAY! And it's literally more than halfway through May. How does time fly so fast? It seems like June is literally a few weeks away. Oh wait, it is.

Anyway, while I try to grasp what today's date is, enjoy these links, lessons, and a photo from this week. Enjoy your weekend, friends!

Love this backdrop idea.

Homemade pretzels sound delicious right about now, don't they?

I'm one week away from finishing the c25k app. Yep, next week means running for 30 minutes straight. Send some wishes my way, pretty please?

Great advice for recent college grads.

Making a bokeh lens is on my to-do list now. Have you made one or do you have one? I've seen some great photos with them and I think it might be a fun project to make (and try!).

Love her tattoo story (and her heart in general).

Um, check out this cake!

Amen (that means you need to read this asap).

As you can see in the photo, I made a CD for the Sunday School class I teach (to listen to and sing along with) and downloaded Mary Rice Hopkins' songs. So many childhood church memories in that music. Did you listen to her music as a kid?

Their new photo app looks like so. much. fun. I can't wait to try it out!

Apparently it's strawberry season in Pinterest land. Don't believe me? Well, check out this pin, this pin, this one, and this one, too.

Youer than you.

Loved her post about blogging and can't wait for her next one.

Cake batter whipped cream? Is this for real?

I want nails like these.

Hope your Friday is, has been, and will be wonderful!

  1. I have made a bokeh lens before. It's pretty simple and fun! Although I always think bokeh is most fun to explore at Christmas time. :)

    1. It definitely reminds me of Christmas! But I've been dying to make one and try it out, so I might just have to make one and try it with the old sun someday. :)

    1. THANK YOU! It's so hard to believe that I was literally running five minutes before feeling like I was going to melt on the pavement underneath my feet. :) I actually don't have a race picked out--although, I'd love to run a color run of some sort someday! I actually just started it after I graduated because I wanted to challenge myself, get in better shape, and have a new personal goal to achieve so I took advantage of my spare time and did it (or am doing it, I guess!).

And you're so welcome--although I LOVED that post and so it definitely needed to be in this list! :)

  3. Way to go with the C25K! I'm thinking about starting it so I can be a super awesome runner. Haha. :-)

    1. Thanks, girl! I was definitely NOT a runner-type (and am still not) but I heard a lot about the challenge/app and heard that people who were also not runners were doing it so I figured I would try and so far I love it! So I say do it--if I can do it, you surely can, too! :)
