let's discuss and tear up together, too.

Day 26/31: Something you read online. Leave a link and discuss, if you'd like.

So this isn't really something I read per se, because it was really something that I watched. I know that Zach's story has gone viral and I know that I even linked to it on Friday, but I think that it's an important one and one worth watching and even re-watching again and again.

Like this friend kindly warned me, be prepared to tear up (as I did within watching the first five minutes of the video and did the second time I watched it, too). I also want to encourage you to say a prayer for Zach and his family. And yes, this movie is definitely worth 22 minutes of your time.

While you're drying your eyes, I just want to take a few minutes and really just spill my heart out on this video.

Zach is not only an amazing human being, son, boyfriend, friend, and brother, but he's a real and true role model. His story reminds me that you have to live your life to the fullest and live it without thinking about the future. He's also a reminder that you have to share happiness, choose joy, and just keep joy.

So Zach, thank you. Thank you for your story, your music, your contagious smile, your gentle soul, and your ongoing strength. You will never be forgotten and I hope to someday be just a sliver of the person you were. Happy, kind, and oh, so loving towards your family and loved ones.

To Zach's family, thank you. Thank you for sharing his story and your stories. I have no words to say except thank you and know that I'm praying for you all.

And Grace, whenever you spoke, I found myself tears welling in my eyes and a lump growing in my throat. Your kind spirit and special bond with Zach is something that I will now cherish and really just try to have with my siblings.

Amy, girl, you are strong. You are an amazing example of what love is and what love does for others. Thank you for showing me that true love exists.

  1. So inspirational!
I hope I live a life worth making a documentary about.

    1. Definitely inspirational! And it's one of those movies that I think everyone needs to see. :) And I'm with you! I hope to be just a sliver of what Zach was someday.

  2. I shared this one, too!! My cousin dances with Zach's girlfriend, Amy. Their studio shared a beautiful photo of the girls warming up while Zach played "Clouds" for them. I'm sure it's a moment they'll always remember. My aunt also passed on that his girlfriend's dance line will be doing a number to "Clouds" during recitals in a couple of weeks. I can't wait to see what they put together.

    1. That's so cool! It's definitely a movie worth sharing and Zach has such a great message to pass along to others. And wow, that's awesome that your cousin knows Amy! Amy is seriously inspirational, too. :) And I love that people are still honoring and celebrating Zach. He will definitely never be forgotten!

p.s. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog!

  3. I haven't even watched the video and I know I'm going to do the ugly cry...

Hope you have a blessed rest of your weekend, girl!!

    1. Anyway, this was definitely an ugly cry movie for me! But such a good one, and definitely worth every single tear, too.

Hope you had a great weekend, friend!

  4. I finally got over my fear of watching this (I didn't WANT to cry, so I avoided watching it, if that makes sense!) and watched it twice in a row. I don't even have many words for this. Grace made me cry too; I want to have that kind of bond with my brother and sister. And I can't stop thinking about Amy either. She is incredibly strong. All of them are.

    1. That totally makes sense! I often wait to watch movies like these until I'm by myself so no one sees me cry those big ugly tears!

And I'm with you, Grace and Amy are amazing young women and are definitely inspirational, too. I definitely hope to have that kind of sibling bond, too! :)
