This weekend was good. It was kind of a girl's weekend, with time spent shopping, eating, nail-painting (for me at least), and lots of movie and TV watching. All four of us girls (Mom included!) sat close to the TV and watched the series finale of The Office Saturday night. Sweetest ending ever to such a hilarious show that I've been watching for what seems like ages now. While watching clips from previous seasons that night, the only thing that came to mind was how much the characters have changed and grown--especially Jim and Pam and their hairstyles!--which in a sappy way just shows how much I have changed, too. But enough of that sappy stuff.

We also (FINALLY) watched Silver Linings Playbook. Which all I can say is best movie ever, perhaps? And no, it's not just because Jennifer Lawrence was in it. I loved the story line, I loved the running scenes (I want a running partner now!), and I loved all of the relationships in that movie. I really can't put into words how much I loved that movie. Except all of the bad words. Well, it was only one bad word that was constantly repeated, but still. I mean, can't movies just be clean? I really don't understand why we have to put bad words in scripts. It would've been just fine and dandy if the characters said fudge or fiddlesticks instead of, well, you know what word I'm speaking of. But maybe that's just the old-fashioned girl I am.

Anyway, how was your weekend? Now that The Office is over, I'm looking for a new TV show to watch. Any suggestions? I'd also love to know what movies you'd recommend I watch next, too!

  1. Love love love your photos girl! I feel the same way about my love for Silver Linings, it's just hard to put into words! Except for the cussing. I so agree about that!

    1. Thanks! And YES, it's so hard for me to describe. The only words that come to my mind are that it was so good and so full of bad words. :)

    1. That's so crazy, I thought for sure I was THE last one to watch it so I'm glad I wasn't the only one who hadn't seen it until now. :) I'm so glad you loved it, too! I really loved it and it's likely one of my new fave movies.

    1. It definitely does! It's kind of sad that bad words are written into scripts these days. They're really rather pointless in my mind even if people say that it makes it more realistic. Definitely not realistic to me! :)

And I'm going to have to check SYTYCD out! I've heard A LOT about it so I might just have to check it out. I'm definitely looking for a summer show, so this just might be it!

  4. I personnally love the Bachelor/Bachelorette which is starting up again on the 27th. And lest you think me ridiculous (which is slightly true) there is a brilliant sarcastic filled blog called Lost Angeles. Totally worth it.

    2. I don't typically watch a lot of the Bachelor/Bachelorette stuff, but that blog sounds hilarious! It definitely sounds like the kind of blog that could totally waste some free time. :)

    1. You should! I loved both of them. The Office is hilarious and some of their jokes aren't too funny (at least to me and my sense of humor) but I love the relationships between the characters and all of the pranks, too.

And watch that movie! Bad words are pretty much filled in that movie, but I loved it nonetheless. :)

    1. Same here! Definitely not what I was expecting for this movie--but I really didn't have any expectations except for the fact that I knew it was good based on all of the reviews, awards, and blog posts from blogging friends! :)
