PHOTO SESSIONS | A FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING.

I'm not going to lie, it's a little nerve-wracking sharing these photos. Not because of the person in these photos (who is way more than a just a person; rather, she's an amazing and beautiful friend) but because this is the result of my very first semi-official photoshoot.

And a special shout-out to my friend who not only asked me to take these photos, but who made me feel at ease while doing so. You'd better believe I was a little nervous when I first started! So thank you for walking through mysterious long grass, sitting on weird benches, and smiling beautifully for each shot. I couldn't have done it without you--literally and figuratively speaking.

    1. Aw, thanks! But I think you're as shocked as I am, girl! Seriously, it was pure luck with the sunshine and locations. Pure luck.

And your reaction truly made my day! I couldn't have done it without you and your photography knowledge! I definitely kept the natural posing thing in mind when doing this and I'm a little proud of how they turned out (is that bad to say?). But seriously, we need to do a photoshoot together sometime--mostly so I can see you at work first hand. :)

    1. Thanks, girl! :) Honestly, the lighting in these shots amazed me and continues to amaze me! Those photos were taken at the beginning of our shoot and I was just clicking photos and hoping for the best. I don't think I even fixed a lot of the settings, to be honest!

Thanks again! Hearing this feedback has really made my day! :)

  10. Oooooh wwwooooo!! Kiki, these are beyond gorgeous! How do you do it, friend?? Beautiful posing, beautiful light capture, great backgrounds, seriously, this is SO professional looking! You have every reason to be soo proud of these!

Can I hire you to do me? That's the thing about being the one behind the camera - there's no one to take a "professional" shoot of you. :)

    1. Aw, thank you friend! Aside from a few of the photos, all of the posing was my friend (she's a natural!). And the lighting and locations were pure luck. Seriously, we just started snapping photos and I would look on the camera screen every shot or two but couldn't really tell if everything was focused or too sun-filled. But now that you mention it, I am a little proud of them! :)

And um, YES! I would love to take photos of you! We would have so much fun and I would ask you to do the same for me! :) And I totally understand, as the girl behind the camera, I have very few photos of me in front of the camera! We need to change this, girl. We really do.

    1. Haha, when I got the email notification for your comment I was trying to remember what the post title went to (yes, my memory is terrible!). :) And I've actually been meaning to let my FB friends know that I want to take photos of them--and I may or may not have a few opportunities coming up (totally informal ones). Come over here so I can do a photoshoot with you!
