ALL DONE?

challenge
It's officially June 1st and I'm no longer bound to blogging everyday, friends. Not that I was ever forced into this challenge, but I'm one of those girls who hates breaking promises so I bound myself to it willingly.

Anyway, back to the completion part. It's a little bittersweet to be done, because I kind of fell in love with blogging everyday. It actually brought me back to my essay class in high school where I all I did was write for ninety minutes. I wrote until calluses formed on my fingers and my hand got sore from writing. And like that class, this challenge was good for me because it forced me to fall in love with writing and the writer that I am today.

But back to the challenge. If you asked me if I liked it, I would say that I honestly loved it. I loved the prompts, the blogs I discovered through the link-up, and the stories I had an excuse to tell. But I'm also equally glad to take a break from it. Blogging every day was like running a marathon for me! I loved every minute of it, but am eagerly awaiting the chance to relax and blog at my normal slow and steady pace. That, and I'm ready to finally announce some exciting changes on Monday that I didn't want to announce until after the challenge was over.

So if you're reading this, Jenni, thank you for this challenge. Thank you for providing me with the opportunity to fall in love with writing again. Thank you for encouraging me to keep up with this challenge, for sharing your stories, and letting me share mine. And thank you for letting me join in, too. I can't wait for the next one girl!

But no rush, okay? I've gotta let my hands recuperate from all the mad typing.

    1. Aw, thanks! There were definitely some harder prompts, but I really and truly loved each and every one of them. And yes, do join in if there's another one! I think Jenni was thinking of hosting another one later this year so I hope to join in and I hope you do, too! :)

  3. I'm proud of you for sticking to the challenge! I jumped in every few days but loved having post-ready-prompts. By the way, your site is adorable! I love stumbling upon fellow sisters in Christ in the blogosphere. Blessings, girl!

    1. Thanks girl! It was so hard to post everyday and if it weren't for the prompts I probably would have ended that challenge within the first week. :) And I'm so glad that you commented--I can't wait to check out your blog and I will definitely reply to your email about button swapping in the next few minutes or so!
