QUESTIONS, QUESTIONS.

help
It's true. I need your help. Again. Remember when I asked for help last time? Well, I loved reading your comments and have been wanting to do another similar post ever since. This time around, however, I'm asking for your help in supplying some questions for me to answer. These could be questions about anything--questions about me, my blog, or even my stylish wardrobe (ha!). I can't promise I'll answer everything you ask--mostly for privacy reasons--but I will try and answer as many questions as I can!

I'd also like to ask you a few questions in return and would love it if you would take the time to answer them. Mostly fun questions, but also a few questions about my blog that I would love your thoughts on, too.

So here are my questions for you. Feel free to answer any or all of them or maybe even ignore them. Although I really hope you don't do the latter of the two options.

1. How did you find my blog? A sidebar button? Pinterest? A link-up?
2. What kinds of posts do you like reading? What do you want more/less of?
3. What's your favorite part about being a blogger/blog reader?
4. What's your favorite pin as of late? Feel free to add the link!
5. What's one blogger trend you just don't get or are completely in love with? (i.e. chevron, Target, bauble necklaces, stripes, etc.)

I'm not going to lie, I feel awkward going out and asking you for questions and answers. So even if you don't want to participate, maybe you could just put a little smiley face emoticon in the comment section instead? That would help ease the tension and awkward smiles going on on my side of the computer screen, thankyouverymuch.

p.s. If you have a question you don't feel like asking in the comments section, feel free to send me an email and I'll answer it either in the blog post to come or in your email.

  1. 1. I actually have no idea how I found it--I don't remember?? I'm assuming from a comment on someone else's blog. Just a guess.
    2. I love all your inspirational posts. You are one smart cookie--I love all your wisdom!
    3. I love meeting people--the community in the blog world is so so great and I have loved making all the wonderful friends--like you!
    4. This is my favorite pin as of late: http://pinterest.com/pin/120049146289835830/ (Shameless plug.) I just have lovedddd this poem recently a lot... it's really been resonating with my heart.
    5. I'm all about the chevron (I painted a chevron wall in my home, it's serious.) AND the big bauble necklaces... I'm on the hunt for the perfect one!

    You're great. :) I like you!

    1. 1. No matter how you found my blog and how we connected, I'm so grateful that we have!

      2. Oh my goodness. That's the nicest thing I've heard in awhile. I hardly consider myself wise, just passing on what God's been teaching me. You, friend, are one wise gal yourself! I love your inspirational posts, too! :)

      3. Meeting new people is my favorite part, too! In fact, I've been thinking of possibly doing a link-up so we can get to know each other a little more. We'll see if it actually comes into fruition.

      4. LOVE that poem. Did I miss that post of yours somehow? I'm going to have to go read it and pin that pin now!

      5. Chevron is so fun! I actually made a chevron art piece awhile back and love it. I have yet to jump in on the bauble necklaces, but I've seen it styled on Pinterest (of course) and I can see you totally rocking one (I can't say the same thing about myself, however!). :)

    1. Thanks girl! :) It took me awhile to get all of it worked out, but I'm really liking the new look. It's so funny how a simple blog design change can bring so much refreshment and energy for blogging!

I'll let you know if I think of a good question for you. :)

    1. I'm so glad we discovered one another's blogs! And I'm seriously thankful for both you and Amy. And I know I've said this before, but I love that you've been imparting so much photography knowledge on me, too! :)

  4. Ooh! I love question time. :)

    1) honestly don't remember how I found your blog, but most likely it was via blog hopping!
    2) Girl, I love ALL your posts! Especially the ones where you share your heart. I also love just about anything with photos. More of? This nosey girl would love to see some more of your day-to-day life happenings! :)
3)Being a blogger? I like being able to share my photos (my art, gotta brag just a little!), and even more, occasionally just talk about what I'm learning and the things that God's teaching me that are changing my life, in hopes that maybe someone else will learn from it, too. Blog reading? Just meeting and getting to know so many other similar women!
    4)I'm actually not a die-hard Pinterester, so I don't really have a favorite pin. :)
    5) Not really sure...although when I see a trend I don't like, I certainly know it. ;)

    My questions:
    1) can we meet your family?? Howabout a photo tour of your room? :)
    2) what was your favorite childhood movie? howabout your first movie crush? (you don't HAVE to answer that, just throwing it out there *wink*)

    1. 1. I'm so glad you found my blog via blog-hopping. Did we discover one another's blog via Meghan's Single Ladies link-up, perhaps? For some reason, it feels like that's where we met one another. But I also have a terrible memory, so who knows. All I know is that I'm grateful for our amazing friendship!

      2. Are you sure you like ALL of my posts? :) But I totally get what you mean with photo-filled posts. Those are my faves to read on other people's blogs, too. And now that you've said that, it gives me an excuse to post take more photos (not that I ever need an excuse for that, haha!). And day-to-day happenings. I'll have to work on that! I lead a pretty boring life, so we'll see. It sounds like a fun challenge, though!

      3. I agree with you 100% on your thoughts on blogging and blog-reading. The blog community is beyond anything I could ask for and I love having a space to share photos, too! And no, it's not bragging at all! I LOVE your photos, girl. :)

      4. No worries on the Pinterest thing! That question was just for the Pinterest-lover in me.

      5. I'm with you! Aside from my love for Target, I don't really jump on many blogger trends. I just love hearing people's thoughts on them!

And I LOVE your questions! I can't wait to answer them! And no worries, I will most definitely share some celeb crushes. :)

    2. Yay! Can't wait to hear all the answers!

I've actually been considering doing a vlog one of these days...any times, you vlog-alumni, you? ;)

Oh and so guess what? This Sunday is my FIRST Sunday teaching my 1s & 2nd graders! I think instead of jumping right into our lessons, I'm going to take this first Sunday to get to know them, let them get to know me and maybe have a little bit of "fun time" together, with time for them to "teach" me some of what they've learned lately. That'll also give me a chance to "feel" out my kids before planning out a lesson! Plus my lesson plan given to me is only 40 weeks and there is, of course, 52 weeks in a year so I have to find some filler weeks anyway.

I'm open to any and all ideas and suggestions and advice you ever might have for me!! :D

    3. Um, DO IT. I cannot wait to "meet you" and hear your voice. Please, please, please do a vlog!!! And I really hope you read that last sentence with a little child's begging voice. Because that's the exact effect I was hoping to make. :)

And I'm so excited for you, girl! Those little first and second graders are going to love you and I know you're also going to love them, too! And I'm with you, get to know those kids! That's such a fun age and I know that they'll want to get to know you as well. Do you know how many kids are in that class? And are you teaching by yourself?

And I really wish I had suggestions for you, but I really have no experience with that age! You honestly probably have way more experience with kids that age! :) From babysitting experience, all I know is that they love to play games.

Girl, I'm so excited for you! I can't wait to hear more about it!

  5. Ah, I love that we have similar posts at the same time. Blog twins, as usual!

    1. I honestly can't remember how I found your blog because it's been sooo long! It might have been (don't trust my memory it's horrible) through Pinterest. That I was following random people when I first started and found your blog through it. Maybe? Either way, I'm glad I did! If you remember let me know!
    2. I love reading honest, open posts where you share your about your struggles, life, and Jesus. That's where I get to know you best!
    3. My favorite part about blogging is the community, hands down. I've met so many awesome people through it, it's just incredible!
    4. You're just trying to get me to hop on Pinterest and get sucked in, aren't you? Haha. I found this pin of key lime pie in a jar and they were just so adorable. I don't like key lime as much as chocolate (duh) but I thought these would be great for summer! Here's the link: http://pinterest.com/pin/33636328439927586/
    5. Hmm... I like all the trends you mentioned! But I really love chevron. And hats. I'm not really sure if hats are a blogger trend, but I've really been loving them lately!

    And questions for you!
    1. How/when did you know you wanted to go into teaching?
    2. What's your favorite bible verse lately?
    3. Favorite piece of clothing this spring/summer?

If I think of any more I'll let ya know! Can't wait for your answers :)

    1. I know, it's so weird! I LOVE that we're blog twins and that it's never really intentional, either. It definitely brings our friendship to a whole new level. :)

And I honestly have no idea how we met, either! I remember you stopped by my blog but I don't know exactly how you came across it. And even though we have no idea how we met, I'm glad we did, too!

Those kinds of posts are my fave, too. They're always the longest and hardest to write, but they're also the posts where I feel like I get to know you guys better through the comments and get to know Jesus better, too. So they're definitely worth all the typing!

And the community is hands-down the best. It definitely makes those spammy comments worth it, that's for sure! :)

Haha, you know I'm trying to get you sucked into Pinterest. That's what friends are for, right? And oh my goodness, those key lime pies in a jar look SOOO yummy. I think you're just trying to make me bake now! That, or you're just trying to make my mouth water. Either way, you succeeded!

And I think hats are a blogger trend! My head is either too big or my face looks weird with a hat on so I don't think I could ever jump on that trend, but you, my friend would look adorable in hats--you should get one and somehow make it appear in a post someday. :)

And I love those questions! I'm definitely including them in my answer post. I'm not sure how I'll make this into a post, but I'll make it work somehow! :)

  6. 1. I found your blog through Blog Every Day in May (one of the last days).
    2. I really love seeing your photography!
    3. I love reading everyone else's stories and seeing their pictures, and sharing the same!
    4. hmmm...that's a hard one. my all time favorite is this one though: (they are sooo good!)
    5. I LOVE TARGET! (: I think that my Target addiction has grown because of blogging. haha

Do you have any goals for the rest of the year?

    1. I'm so glad we met through the Blog Every Day in May challenge! Not only was that challenge good for me writing-wise, but it was also an amazing opportunity to meet new people, too!

And I'm SO with you on Target. Target is seriously the best and I think it should be mandatory that all bloggers love that place. And I agree with you, blogging has definitely increased my liking of that store!

And I LOVE that question. I have so many goals right now and I can't wait to add that to my post. Thanks for the question, girl! :)

    1. Thanks girl! I'm glad you love it! It took a whole day of editing and uploading and re-updating, but it was so worth it in the end. And I definitely recommend revamping your blog (not that I'm saying your blog needs it or anything, because I LOVE it--especially the cute header!) because it's really refreshed me as a blogger and it's kind of made me feel like a totally new blogger! :)

And I'm SO glad we found each other. And I'll honestly never forget how sweet and patient you were with me and that group giveaway!!

  8. 1. Through A Little Bit of Sunshine "Ten on Ten" project (I think).
    2. Anything honest, innovative, creative and fun. Real-honest news about real people.
    3. I get to share what I'm thinking (feeling), it drives creative inspiration. I like connecting with people who have a similar kindred vision on life and way of expressing it. (Is it odd it's easier to connect with strangers than people in person?)
    4. For some reason I'm all things Cajun this summer, why? I guess I like themed party decorations (and food). http://www.thecreativityexchange.com/2012/04/a-school-gym-transformed-with-amazing-creativity.html
    5. I didn't realize there were trends in blogging (LOL) I guess using LOL is an old trend huh?

    1. I'm so with you--honesty is the best. And I also agree with you on blogging. It's such a great place to share your thoughts as well as a great environment to find creative inspiration (especially in linkups like Ten on Ten!). :)

And it's definitely not weird to say that it's easier to connect with people like bloggers. There are definitely days when my blog is where I socialize most!

  9. 1. i found you...through a blog hop? maybe?! I can't remember.
    2. Honestly, i love all of your posts, and no i'm not just saying that. i love the bits & pieces, photo posts, etc
    3. I'm not sure, geeze...i like sharing my thoughts and reading others thoughts.
    4. I LOVE ALL PINS.
    5. the bubble necklaces...yes i'm not a fan. i mean they work on some people, but not on others.
Also, personally. i'm not a fan of huge style bloggers. I mean it works absolutely, and i like seeing what people wear, but seeing how much things cost...makes me sad. ha.

    1. I think I may have popped into your blog via Amy's blog (Sweet Home Santa Barbara). At least I think so? I'm not quite sure. :)

Um, thanks! It's so weird to hear that people actually enjoy my posts and it makes me want to hide in embarrassment. But thanks girl! I love yours, too. That includes your Pinterest posts--but I think my all time favorite posts are your Friday ones. Is it weird to say that I actually look forward to reading them? Because I do!

And I'm with you--all pins are my fave. :)

And I get what you mean about bauble necklaces (I don't think I could rock one!) and some style blogs. There are a few that I love that shop clearance racks and such (so much more my style) but the ones whose outfits cost more than all my clothes combined make me sad, too!
