TEN ON TEN: JUNE 2013.

Happy Tenth! Today's set is pretty low-key (as always) and I somehow did the unthinkable and forgot to bring my camera along with me as I went thrifting with my sister (read: major blogger fail). But, the weather over here is finally giving my a teaser as to what summer's like and I'll take any sunshine I can get. I'm thinking the sunshine made up for my blogging fail.

Hope your day was full of photos! I can't wait to check out your sets.

1
morning email check.
3
post-shower hair and a mandatory mirror selfie.
4
a sign of a (really) good book.
6
the pink ones will always be my favorite.
8
morning music session.
5
last lunch bite.
flip flop
(well-worn) summer footwear of choice.
9
will do anything (literally) for whipped cream.
reflection
afternoon reflections.
10
fresh-fruit lover.

As always, linking with the lovely Rebekah here.

p.s. For those of you visiting my blog from Ten on Ten, yep, my blog's changed. But I'm still here--surprise, surprise! But if you're curious, you can read more about the blog change and the story behind In Its Time, click here.

  1. Ohhhhhh my gosh I would loveeeeeeee to hear you play that song! I always dreamed of playing the violin but never had the chance to learn! Please please post a video of you playing?? :) I will definitely have to read that book, I am a big Shauna Niequist fan after reading Bread & Wine.

    1. I would love to hear myself play it, too! Except after years of not having private lessons and such, I'm afraid my playing sounds worse than it did when I played in middle school! :) I actually play the viola (which is similar to the violin but lower) and I'll have to think about playing a video. I've actually been playing music with my sister lately so maybe if we get good enough we'll play a duet or something? We'll see. :)

And Shauna is definitely a good author. I am seriously in love with her writing and can't get enough of her! :)

  2. I wish I could play the violin (great perspective shot!) but I play the banjo and that is my stress reliever. My dog would do anything for whip cream, too. Loved that picture! And the grapes... yum.

    1. I actually play the viola (which is similar to the violin) but have always wanted to play the guitar or ukelele. But I have to say, the banjo sounds like a lot of fun, too! :) And that's so funny to hear that your dog likes whipped cream, too! My dog literally knows the sound of the shaking of the can and will come from another room in hopes of getting a dollop. :)

And that's Shauna Niequist's book, Bittersweet. I highly recommend her books. I'm seriously in love with her writing!

    1. Thanks girl! :) And you and me both--grapes and whipped cream sound delicious right now, too! I think I'll have to include them in my lunch somehow. Although maybe not together. :)

    1. Oh no! I'm so sad you missed it again! Next month girl. Next month. :)

And that photo is one of my faves, too! He literally knows the sound of whipped cream canisters being shaken and then dispensed and will come downstairs with hopes of getting a dollop. He's a hilarious pup, I tell ya. :)

    1. Thanks, girl! That is definitely an over-statement, though!

And I could totally see how yesterday wasn't necessarily a day to participate in. Hopefully next month's Ten on Ten falls on a better day for you! :)

    1. Thanks, Shelley! It's funny that you say that because I feel like I have no control over my aperture somedays (like this past tenth, actually!). I just shoot and hope that the aperture works in my favor. :)

And thank you for all of your sweet words! You're so kind! :)

    1. Aw, thanks girl! I think the same about your photos and your photography, too!

And as for my hair, I'm not sure it's amazing. In fact, it's rather thick and it tends to have a mind of its own when it comes to volume... :)
