THE CIRCLE: SUMMER BUCKET LIST.

june2013
Even though it's the end of the month, and we're sort of one third of the way through summer, it's never too late to create and share our summer bucket lists.

Yep, that's this month's The Circle topic. Summer bucket lists. We all have them, don't we? Goals or to-do lists that we want to check off and accomplish before the leaves start crunching under our feet and we're back to wearing jeans instead of shorts. Or, if you're in the Pacific Northwest, you start pulling out your winter parka (kidding--not really).

But I digress. Like I mentioned yesterday, I hinted at the fact that I have a great co-host to help me with this month's link-up. And by great, I mean a kind, sweet, and super-encouraging friend. So before I leave you with my summer bucket list, I want to introduce you to my lovely co-host:

angela

She's sweet, isn't she? I know many of you already know Angela, but that's no excuse not to see what she's got planned for this summer. So go check out what she has planned and then be not-so-amazed at what I have planned, too:

bucketlist
  • Go to the beach. It's been way too long and I've been dying to freeze my toes off in the ocean. That, and I heard beach hair is all the rave these days (kidding).
  • Re-paint my room. I've been dying to paint over my lavender walls for years now and I hope this is the year for it to make it happen!
  • Schedule more photoshoots. I really, really, really, want to continue to practice my hand at portraits and would love to make this become a bigger part of my life (see my first semi-official photoshoot here).
  • Read more books. This was on last summer's bucket list, but it's a good one so it's here to stay (again). But in addition to reading more books, I'd also like to buy some books, too.
  • Send letters. It's been awhile since I've licked and addressed an envelope so I'm due for a long handwritten letter--let me know if you'd like to be a recipient!
  • Re-watch a favorite television series. Ever since I finished 24 and Alias, I've been dying to re-watch those series again. I likely won't have time for a full-on marathon, but I'd love to re-live some old Jack Bauer or Sydney Bristow adventures.

Don't forget to add your bucket list in the link-up below! I can't wait to see what you've got planned for the rest of this summer.

The fine print: To link-up, simply grab a button, add your link below, and then go see what everyone else is up to this summer! As far as writing the bucket list, be as creative (or as lame as me) as you want. You could link to a past bucket list (preferably for summer), a bucket list you're working on, or one that you've just finished. As long as it's summer bucket-list related, add it below!

    1. No worries, but you'll have to link-up next time! One of the reasons I wanted The Circle to have different co-hosts + topics was because I knew that it would give everyone a chance to participate in something they're passionate about. And I'd love for you to co-host with me sometime and maybe do something photography-related! :)

    1. Writing letters and postcards sounds like a wonderful thing to do this week! I have a tendency to put little things like this off until the last minute, so hearing that I'm inspiring you makes me want to get it done asap! So thanks for that, girl! :)

    1. I'm thinking I needed to make the beach mandatory for everyone's bucket lists because it's seriously a MUST for summer. :)

And I LOVE that you love 24! Jack was my favorite and I heard somewhere that they're going to be bringing the show back next summer (in 2014)! I think the summer series is only going to be 12 episodes, but I'm crossing my fingers they bring Jack back! :)

    1. Thanks! And I'm really trying to read + read + read this summer. Last summer I slacked and only really read the Hunger Games. I've actually been reading a lot of faith-filled books lately and have really loved the break from reading only fiction. You'll have to let me know what books are on your to-read list! :)

And thanks in advance for linking up! It makes me so excited to see and hear all of the feedback for The Circle!

    1. I say that a lot, too so no worries! :)

And I'm a little jealous that you live right by the beach. I kinda wish the ocean was a little closer to me!

I would LOVE to be pen pals! I'm going to have to stock up on stamps now!

And haha, I love that you watched 6 seasons of a tv show in 2 weeks. That sounds like something my family would do! What show was it?

  6. Painting?? I love room painting! So, I need to come visit you and girl, we could totally knock out at least three of those on the list: the beach, photo shoots (duh), and painting your room. :) And you know, I wouldn't mind be introduced to the famous Jack Bauer, so hey, why not four? :D

    1. Psst. I promise I wasn't copying you with my bucket list photo. :)

    2. YES! I could use all the help I could get! Painting is always way more of a task than it seems. Although I should probably warn you, my room is small! :)

And I would LOVE to introduce you to Jack Bauer, go to the beach with you, and have some photoshoots (definite duh!).

    3. And I love that our photos are similar! It just proves that we have so much in common and that we're thinking on the same wavelength lately! :)

    1. I think reading and trips to the beach are a must for everyone this summer! :) But I've been really craving the chance to go to the beach--it's been over a year now since I've gone. Here's to hoping we both get to go this summer!

And girl, I'm STILL so excited that you were my first co-host! Seriously, I'm loving all of the lists and the chance to get to know you and the other bloggers better, too.

    1. Re-watching old favorites shows is definitely a love of mine. Even though I know what happens in the end, it's always fun to notice things that I didn't see the first time around. I'm really going to have to re-watch those shows now! :)

      Thanks again for linking up!

    1. Yay, I can't wait to read it! :) And that's so sweet of you--I'm super excited (and pretty nervous) about doing photoshoots. But I really want to challenge myself and expand my portfolio, so I put it on the list for extra motivation. :)

And I have a few other bloggers lined up for the next few months, but if you ever want to co-host, I would LOVE to do it with you sometime!

  13. For the past three weeks I have been wanting to post my summer bucket list on my blog, but then never got around to actually doing so. This gives me the perfect reason to do mine! Eee so excited to read everyone's! LOVE THE CIRCLE! Great idea.
