THEY WERE CALLING MY NAME.

So a long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away), I went on this little roadtrip with the family. It wasn't for very long, but it somehow slipped my mind to share a few of the photos (as evidence that I went, of course!).

Most of the photos are in this cute little town that we stopped at on the way to my grandparent's house. The fountain was new (or new to us, at least), bubbling with clean water, and the sunshine hit it just perfectly. Let's just say it was calling my name. Not pictured: the harmonica-playing older man in the background that stared at us as my sisters and I took photos together.

We also stopped at a bakery (a must-do for our family on roadtrips) where we had our first taste of West Coast cronuts. I can't say that they were like the real thing, but it was fun to try and get in on that New York phenomenon.

Lastly, we also took photos at a rose garden where the roses were, well, blooming. Normally, I stray away from roses because they make my nose itch, but with my camera in tow, let's just say that like the fountain and cronuts, they were calling my name.

Have you ever tried cronuts? I can't say that they were the best thing I've ever had, it wasn't terrible (after all, it's sugary and fried, so what more can you ask of a sweet treat?).

    1. Thanks, girl! And yes, road trips are the best. Hands down my favorite thing to do with my family and something I look forward to doing with my future family, too. And I while I can't say cronuts were the best thing I've ever had, they were fun to try out. You'll have to try them sometime, too! :)

    1. Thank you, Madison! That is so very, very kind of you to say.

And I'm glad you understand! It always seems like I get way, way, way behind on posting photos and such on my blog because I'll edit them as soon as I take them and I'll occasionally then post them up on Facebook (for family to see, really), and then I'll forget to add them on my blog.

Fortunately, photos never expire or get too old to share! :)

    1. Thanks, girl! And yes, road trips are so much fun and even better when bakery stops are added on the list. Since my dad usually drives on our road trips, breaks for him (and a chance for my dog to stretch his legs, too!) are a must. And why not stop at a bakery, too? It's a mandatory tradition for my family and one I think everyone should take up. :)

    2. Thanks Nadine! I loved the colors in the multi-colored roses the best. Flowers always amaze me and make me fall just a little bit more in love with their Creator. :)

    1. Same here, same here. Those are my favorite kinds of days. I'm still hoping to try a fresher cronut (we didn't get ours until late afternoon so they weren't super fresh), but you'll have to let me know what you think of them once you try one! :)
