CURRENTLY...

peaches
reading She Reads Truth. I honestly feel like their latest series was written just for me. Not only have I wanted to study the women of the Word in greater depth, but I have also felt like each day's reading speaks right to my soul.

living on this quote: "two things define you: your patience when you have nothing and your attitude when you have everything."

craving stonefruit. White peaches, nectarines, donut peaches, you name it, I'll eat it. And likely drip some of the oh-so-staining juices on my white shirts.

grateful for babysitting jobs. There's nothing like a bunch of kids to make your day that much happier.

watching Graceland. You guys, I cannot get enough of this show. If you've never heard of it, it's a new summer show centered around a house of federal agents and the newbie FBI agent who joins the crew. It may sound boring, but I am in love with the fresh story lines (so much better than the over-used story lines in other cop shows I've watched), the characters, and the actors. Definitely a must watch in my opinion.

praying for patience and trust. Lots of patience and lots of trust.

obsessed with watermelon and lime. Seriously, you have got to try this one. Squeezing a little lime juice over a slice of watermelon makes for a delicious afternoon snack. I know you're probably skeptical over this one, but try it first. Trust me on this one.

excited about school supply sales. I am in love with school supplies (or office supplies in general) and even though I'm not going to school this fall, that doesn't mean I don't like new packages of markers, pens, and notebooks!

listening to Anthem Lights. Have you heard of this group before? I just discovered them on Pandora and have been loving their covers (especially this song/mash-up!).

crushing on simple and clean blog designs. Even though I change up my blog pretty much every month, I've been seriously in love with all things simple--because less is more, right? Lately, I've been loving this girl's portfolio.

What are you up to currently?

  1. I am loving the She reads truth women in the bible plan too! Learning so much, my favorite was Joanna. I loved how she defined herself in her relationship with God and not in those around her. One day at the end it said---"A woman with a kingdom heart" i love that!

    1. Yes, the post on Joanna was beautiful--I really loved the ones on Mary, Mary Magdalene, as well as Martha + her sister Mary. So many good ones and I'm so excited to finish the third and fourth segments of the Women in the Bible plan, too!

      p.s. I don't know if you know this, but I think you're a no-reply commenter. :)

    3. I only mentioned this because normally I not only publish my replies on my blog, but I'll also try and email my response to the blogger, too (does that make sense?). I know that some people prefer being a no-reply blogger, but I also know that some people don't know that there's an option.

Anyway, Susannah has a great post here if you want to switch. :)

  2. mmmm she reads truth is so good. i'm wanting to start the series on women of the Word soon! i've heard really good things. don't you just love when Jesus speaks directly to you like that?...i don't know why it always takes me by surprise.

babysitting jobs = the best. i would be a full-time nanny if i could and if it came with vacation and medical benefits :)

graceland. i haven't watched the past few episodes, so i'm behind. honestly, the reason i started watching it was because it has one of the actors from les mis in it! haha!

    1. I hope you get a chance to start the Women of the Word plan soon! It's my favorite so far and I'm one of those girls who will tell you that it's full of really good things and words I know that Jesus wants me to hear. And yes! Those moments definitely take me by surprise, too!

I would definitely be a full-time nanny if there were benefits + vacation, too! If only. :)

Yay, for a fellow Graceland viewer! Girl, what other shows do you watch? It seems like we have a lot of TV shoes in common. And who's in Les Mis? I haven't seen the new version of the musical yet but I really want to now!

And yes. Clean blog designs. So pretty and I love how they speak millions with so few visual distractions!

You are seriously making me hungry for some watermelon and lime! I believe that would be delicious.
I am the same way...I am always changing up my blog design! Sometimes I wish I was more simple with my designs but when I get finished with it, I feel like it is always too...much! lol

And I love that we're the same about blog designs. I'm sure you've noticed, but I definitely change up my blog at least once a month. It's a terrible habit...

p.s. Try watermelon + lime! It's so yummy.
