BITS AND PIECES.

grey
Happiest of happy Fridays, my friends! I hope your week was lovely and three cheers for the weekend!

And even though this post needs no introduction, I still feel like I need to introduce the one and only bits and pieces. One photo, little lessons, and lots of links to love. Enjoy!

How to read a recipe--if you're a baker (or even if you're not and you just love a good brownie), read this post. Seriously, do it.

10 free desktop wallpapers for fall.

I took photos of my friend this week! It was such a blast to laugh, watch the sun set and moon rise, and listen to Phillip Phillips. It was the most amazingest of amazing times and I'm so lucky to have friends who are willing to work with me.

These waffles. Oh. My. Goodness.

This mobile is so pretty and looks like my kind of DIY project, too.

A cute bridal shower brunch.

On embracing the seasons. We embrace the beginning of Fall, Summer, Winter, and Spring, but do we embrace the seasons of each life stage God brings us to? Definitely a must-read, if you ask me.

Just some yummy cinnamon twists.

It's supposed to rain this weekend and while I'm unsure about the wet weather, I'm excited to wear boots and scarves and cardigans without feeling like a seasonal misfit (or whatever you call that). Fall, here I come! What's your favorite fall clothing item?

Vintage Target.

On writing and why writers write. So loved this post. Every word spoke so much truth for me.

Speaking of writing, thank you for all of the kind, kind words about my fiction writing post. I felt so rusty going into it, but once I got started I rediscovered my love for writing stories. Writing is amazing, isn't it?

Free colorblock social media icons. These are so fun--and way too cute to pass up.

An old-fashioned homemade soda party. It may be a mouthful, but that doesn't mean I don't want an invitation!

20 things we learned from the cast of Parenthood. When is this show starting up again? I so miss the Bravermans (and yes, I do refer to them like they're my next door neighbors).

DIY apple candles.

Fight for it and know that He values you.

Happy weekend!

p.s. Have you entered the Lilla Rose Giveaway yet? Because you really (like really) should.

p.p.s. Looking for something new to cook/bake this weekend? Because there's still time to not only find a new recipe/blog friend, but add your fave to The Circle as well!

  3. I really like all the remodeling you are doing to the place! :) Looks nice!

Just wanted to let you know that I nominated you for the Most Versatile Blogger Award. :) Why? First of all your, your blog is what iNSPIRED my blog name... And second, your blog is one of my favorite stops to go to on the internet because there is BEAUTY and truth and joy and intention splattered all over it. More girls need to read this. Your blog is so unique to you and your life story and I appreciate all your honesty that goes into it. Thank you for sharing. :)

You can check out the award here: http://coffeeandhoneycomb.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-versatile-blogger-award.html
(Don't feel obligated to participate — it's kind of a smaller award going around the small blog community. Just wanted to show you my appreciation!)

    1. Hi Jennifer! I'm glad you like it! I've always loved what you do with your blog (as well as other graphic design work) so I'm flattered you like it!

And thanks for the nomination, friend! That is such an honor and I'm excited to check it out! I've heard of other blogger awards but I've never heard of the Most Versatile Blogger Award before. I'm excited to see who else you nominated. :)

Thank you also for all of the sweet words you said about my blog. There are definitely days when I feel like I'm writing to myself, so it's encouraging to hear that I write words that are relatable to you.

      Thanks again! :)
