my name is elizabeth - i am a wife, a sister, a daughter, and a friend. i am married to a strong, tall, blonde, and handsome man that makes me laugh every day. we live in a little home we bought at the base of Pikes Peak in the Colorado Rockies. i love people, Disney, coffee, adventures, Harry Potter, glitter, and all things Colorado (go Broncos!). most of all, i love the Lord, my sweet Savior. i value authentic relationships, true community, and healthy living. Oak + Oats was born out of a desire to create a place that is focused on being rooted and nourished in Truth. this place focuses on the lovely things - like summer adventures, beautiful places, pretty outfits, fall comforts, handmade goodies, heart matters, and Christmas dreams. this is a place to learn & grow - to swing from the tree branches and eat whole grains.
Elizabeth is like a blogging big sister to me. She reached out and invited me to participate in a group giveaway--where she so kindly answered all of my stupid questions regarding the details for those things!--and has since encouraged, prayed for, and shined His light for me. She's amazing and if you don't read her blog, you need to. Like really need to.
Anyway, this month's topic is one I think you'll all want to join in on. It's pretty easy post writing-wise and it's also a really fun one to be a part of. Not only do we get to learn new things about each other but we also get to have fun while doing it--a win-win situation, right?
But here's the key part--we highly recommend that you include the "answers" in a post the following day or so. This way, readers can guess without accidentally seeing the answers in the comments section or at the bottom of your post.
So let's play! Here are my 2 truths and a lie and here are Elizabeth's. We can't wait to read yours and hear your guesses, too!

1. I dyed my hair a deep reddish color in high school.
2. I haven't been to a movie theater since 2006.
3. I was voted most likely to have ten kids in fifth grade.

Well, I guess I should admit that I wrote and re-wrote my two truths and a lie a few times because I couldn't come up with any good ones. :) And I can't wait to read yours! I'm always stumped by these games and I also LOVE getting to know people and learning random facts about people, too. :)

When I was writing this post, I had to try and think of things that you didn't know about me because I didn't want to make it too easy on you, haha. :)
