WHAT WEEKENDS ARE FOR.

Weekends are for sleeping in and chilly morning runs. For hot apple oatmeal with a sprinkle of brown sugar. For yoga pants and roasted vegetable pizza. For attempted self-portraits, cozy blankets, Vietnamese takeout, and braids. And for taking photos of every single minute of it.

What do you think weekends are for?

    1. Aw, thanks Amber! :) I've been sort of in a blogging rut in terms of hearty posts so I'm taking advantage of this little season of short and sweet posts and I'm glad you like it. I look forward to reading your take on this blog post!

  2. hot apple oatmeal sounds delicious.

Lately, weekends for me have been for catching up on real life and reading and as you've discovered, taking photographs. :)

    1. It really is! My mom added some fresh apple cider from the farmer's market and she also added chunks of apple from our tree in the backyard. With a little bit of butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon it was amazingly delicious--even as leftovers. :)

And weekends are definitely for catching up and taking photographs. You were actually one of the bloggers that inspired me to pick up my camera and take photos this weekend, so thank you for the inspiration and encouragement!

    1. Thank you to all three of the compliments you just gave me! Those photos of me are actually self-portraits so let's just say there were a few that didn't make it into this post because of focusing, weird faces, etc. :)

And I agree, weekends are definitely for rest, movie watching (or for me catching up on TV), and baking. Now that I've gotten back into taking photos, I'm excited about baking next!

    1. It really was! It was relaxing and full of photo-taking which are two of the requirements for a good weekend in my book. :) And I love the list you came up with! Bonding, baking, and being spiritually renewed. I wish I could have added that to my list!

    1. Aw, thanks! And aside from baking (I have to add that to this weekend's to-do list!), my weekends are the same way. Now that I'm working full-time, I realized that I never get a chance to go anywhere aside from work and my house during the week--so shopping for little things or teacher clothes have been added to my weekend to-do list now. :)

  7. that first picture of those red leaves...i about died when i saw it on facebook. it's the epitome of autumn. ahhhh i love it! weekends for me are for adventures, catching up with friends, and most of the time just relaxing. i always have to remind myself not to completely fill up my weekend schedule because i do need "me" time just to be alone :)

    1. Aw, thanks! I can see that tree from my window and it makes my parent's room glow a reddish color in the afternoon. Seeing it through my window was basically it's way of calling me to take photos of it or something. :)

And your weekends sound lovely! Now that I'm working, I've really come to appreciate the relaxing part of weekends and having me-time, too!

    1. Um, yeah. I pretty much drool every time someone in the family wants to eat at that restaurant. Some of the dishes have a sort of Thai-like influence but either way, it's drool-worthy food! :)

And I'm excited to hear about this upcoming weekend, girl! I may be biased but it sounds like a good one to me!
