BITS AND PIECES.

friday
Happy Black Friday, friends! Did any of you go shopping this morning? Or are you still recovering from a food coma from last night? Either way, I hope you had a wonderful week and I hope you have a great weekend as well.

Here's to Friday and a few of the bits and pieces from my week.

Are you living up to your potential?

Loving this fall engagement shoot.

Mmm...caramel apples.

Change is good.

I don't know about you, but I love hearing about Christmas traditions. There's something about them that gives me the warm and fuzzies and makes me want to curl up with a cup of hot cocoa and talk about them with close friends and family. So tell me, what are some of yours? My family and I celebrate St. Nicholas Day by opening up stockings early on in December and then we celebrate Advent with our Advent candle wreath, go to Christmas Eve Service at church, sing Happy Birthday to Jesus on Christmas morning (before presents are opened), and then have dinner with relatives.

This washer/dryer makeover is way too cute.

There are no words for how much I loved this post.

So, these parents win as the best parents ever.

I don't know about you, but this year's Christmas Target commercials are spot on.

'Til you try, you'll never know.

Never thought I'd say this about napkins, but these ones are so pretty!

My sister made this cake this week and I am so glad she brought the leftovers home. The tanginess of the fresh cranberries, the sweetness in the glaze, the delicious cake and the gorgeous red color is a-mazing. You have got to make this cake, okay?

This is awesome.

I know these are all over the interweb, but this advent calendar is way too cute not to share.

A printable for my Charlie Brown friends.

A cozy backyard wedding is my fave.

Having Thanksgiving with my family is THE best. My grandpa may not have the best hearing, but as a guy in his nineties, he's quite possibly the funniest man out there. And seeing him and my grandma together? Heart melted. If only I had my camera with me...

This outfit makes me want a chambray shirt that much more.

I painted my nails gold and I'm now officially ready for Christmas--that's news enough to include in this post, right?

This may be a birthday party for a one year old, but if you ask me, even a twenty-something like me would like it!

Sooo... you're going to love this pin.

And you're also going to loooove this photoshoot.

Have a great one, friends!

  1. Those Christmas traditions of that family are so great! That is one of the things that I look forward to the most when I have a family, is creating our own Christmas traditions. So fun how they are different and personable for each family.

  2. I love hearing about Christmas traditions too. When I was a kid, every Christmas eve we would ride around local neighborhoods just looking at all the lights. I loved it so much.

And I LOVE those napkins. So cute!

    1. Jessica, we did the same thing! I was actually just thinking about that tradition the other day and mentioned it to my family and I think we might just do that again this year. Cozy blankets, popcorn, and the dog in the backseat with us. :)

And yes! Those napkins are adorable!!

    caramel apples, yum!
The post on change, just what i needed to hear! Loved it!
Christmas tradition: we always go to church on Christmas eve and we always do lunch that day together, just my immediate family, then we go to your family friends house after church. On Christmas day, we open presents and then we eat breakfast. then we eat dinner later, except last year we brought food over to my Uncle and aunts house cause he was sick with ALS, he died earlier this summer, so that's been hard. But we may go see my aunt or have her come to our house.
that washer dryer is the cutest!
And the napkins are too cute!
The cake: i may to have to make that. you always find such good recipes.

    1. I always love how you add in your reactions to each link, I always have the same ones when I initially find them! :)

We also go to Christmas Eve service! We also do very similar things on Christmas day, too. Sounds like we really do have a lot in common, girl! And I'm sorry to hear about your uncle! ALS affects a lot of people and I'm sorry your uncle was one of them. :( I hope you still get to see your aunt, though!

Yeah we do, that's crazy how that happens :) I would totally go all the way to the PNW just to go on a coffee date with you and talk about Jesus.
Thanks girl! It was sad that he got sick, and he went down hill so fast, that made it even worse. but he was in so much pain in the end. I miss him a lot, but i am grateful for the time that I got to spend with him while he was alive.
Yeah me too! I'm hoping we can see her.
