THIS WEEKEND...

...was spent hoping and praying I wouldn't get pink eye from the kids I babysit. I may or may not have looked in the mirror every ten minutes to check my eyes for any sign of pinkness, too.

...I ate way too much good food and didn't even go on a run to balance it out and help my guilty conscience.

...I was ambushed by twenty preschoolers with handfuls of leaves during an impromptu leaf fight.

...this Etsy shop stole my heart.

...I spent a good amount of time brushing off dirt and leaf bits and hoping I didn't have bugs on my scalp after said leaf ambush.

...the rain came and left pretty little rain droplets on the gorgeous red and yellow leaves.

...I thoroughly enjoyed getting that "extra" hour of sleep. No need to tell me it's not a real extra hour of sleep, because I'm a kid at heart that will take any sleep she can get.

...I realized I've been posting a whole lotta photos of the great outdoors. But, you know, it's my blog and I'll take/post photos of what I want to. That, and who doesn't love gorgeous fall colors?

What happened to you this weekend?

  1. Loving your Autumn photos! I love seeing posts about Autumn, because then I actually get to experience it a little bit for myself.

    1. Thank you! And I so wish we could really and truly experience it together! Fall has now turned to rainy fall weather, but it's still pretty pleasant if you ask me. :)

    1. Uh seriously, THANK YOU. Seriously.

And I'm super paranoid, too! I was seriously checking my eyes every few moments and probably drove my mom crazy asking her if my eyes were pink, haha. And you should have seen my when someone at work was talking about head lice. I pretty much went crazy then, too. :)

    1. Thanks, Meg! And if only! Now that it's started raining, I'm already missing the fall weather and anticipating its return next year. :)

    1. YES. So glad you agreed. I still like to think of it as an extra hour so I will most definitely be living in the delusion!

    1. Aw, thank you Britney! That was seriously the sweetest thing I've heard all day. :)

And yep, you're right! It's definitely not fun to have and it's definitely something I'm trying to avoid--something that's easier said than done when working with little kids!

    1. Honestly, I'm with you right now! The weather here has changed to wet + cold weather so the days are a lot more gray and by the time I get home from work it's getting dark (especially with Daylight Savings!). So when you said that you want to soak up more of Fall, I know exactly what you mean. I so desperately want to soak up more of Fall, too! :)
