I'm trying a new project this year. I'm not sure if it'll actually work out (or if it'll turn into a Project 52), but I'm going to try it out and see where it leads me. If all goes well, a weekly post will be in the making where I share a photo from each day from the previous week. If all else fails, then you'll just get a bi-weekly photo or the photo will be a part of my normal Bits and Pieces posts.

Nonetheless, with my camera in hand, I know this year will be a great one.

    1. Honestly, it really does! I had no idea people would actually enjoy seeing posts like these so it really is the motivation I need to take my photo every day (I especially needed it today seeing as I *just* took my photo!). :)

    you are so dang amazing!
    GAH
we need to chat - because that spiderweb picture, insanely gorgeous. I can't even process how beautiful it is! the composition, the lighting, the edges, the dang hanging LEAF!!!!!!
    bah.
so this was with your 50mm?! manual focus?!
snap, you're so good at the details, this is something I want to improve on!
why do you live so far away?! I need some lessons on this subject!

    1. Amy, you stop. Seriously. Your flattery is going to make my head big! :)

And we DO need to talk. And you also NEED to come visit me (or vice a versa) so we can take photos together like crazy ladies!

But to answer your question, yep, they're all using the 50mm lens with manual focus. My focus with manual still isn't perfect, but I've been using the LCD screen to take photos (since one eye is better than the other and all that bad-vision-stuff) and it's actually helped me quite a bit.

And I'm going to say it again because it actually NEEDS to happen. Let's get together and take photos sometime soon, okay?

p.s. I was going through my photos from that day's hike and as soon as I spotted the spiderweb photo, I actually thought of you and your love for photos like that and your eye for noticing details, too. Is that weird?
