BITS AND PIECES.

branches
Well, this week was crazy, to say the least! Work was crazy-pants and then the week ended with some unexpected snow (aka snow days!). I'm telling ya, the preschool snow dances really do work.

So here's to the weekend. Here's to relaxing, refreshing, and finding a few new links to love, too.

Her work is amazing.

And she's my other new favorite designer/calligrapher.

You need to enter this giveaway asap. I am in love with both the blogger(s!) behind it as well as the giveaway prize. So do it, okay?

These cookies look lovely.

After a long week, I've been clinging to these two verses for hope, faith, trust, and life. If these words don't rock your soul, I don't know what will.

Anyone have any cool leggings to spare?

50+ free printables for your walls.

As a photo-taker, I am in love with these valentines.

After writing this newest fiction installment, I'm thinking of doing something to connect fiction writers/bloggers with each other. I love discovering fiction and if you have any ideas or want to brainstorm with me, I'm open for any partners in crime!

I'm always a sucker for a good movie trailer that everyone's talking about.

9 creative Valentine's Day gift ideas.

This post is raw, beautiful, and so honest. I read it twice and both time it made my eyes well up with tears.

For those of you who have a black thumb (like me).

A wonderful letter to all of the writers out there.

These edible valentines are adorable.

5 things you need to do to start.

Last week's Duck Dynasty was hi-larious. Or Si-larious. The whipped cream definitely brought about a few chuckles. Have you seen that episode or watch Duck Dynasty in general?

How fun (and messy!) is this photoshoot?

I'm pretty sure I could eat this body butter it sounds so good.

On celebrating LOVE this Valentine's Day.

A yummy snack perfect for work.

I am so very, very glad this family came back.

Have a great one!

p.s. For all my Circle besties, The Circle will be back next week! Be excited because this month's topic is a great one.

p.p.s. Can you believe it's been a month since our coffee dates? Seriously, 2014 has been flying by.

    1. Thanks, Sarah! I've been finding lots of good links lately, so it must be in the blogging water or something. I definitely cannot take credit for it, though, because I'm just sharing links, not coming up with their amazing content! :)

  2. The Fault In Our Stars >> I just finished reading it! (AKA listening to it at work. haha. I cried in my cubicle.) The story was real, and raw, and didn't sugarcoat cancer. But oh my gosh, I cried.

Did you ever see My Sister's Keeper? I saw that one in theaters with some friends and literally sobbed my way through the movie. My face was so puffy by the time it was over!

    1. I really want to read it! I've heard it's a really good book and have seen so many people talk about it so I definitely think it's a book I need to read (and a book I need to read with a box of Kleenex, too). :)

I have seen that movie! I watched it at home and am glad because that one was also a tear-jerker!

    1. Same! I wasn't too interested in reading it until the movie trailer came out. I still haven't read it, but I'm hoping I get a chance to before the movie/before I see the movie.

And yes, Duck Dynasty is hilarious! I loved this past episode, especially the Willie part and the granddaughters' sleepover, too. That family is hilarious and it's so hard to believe they're real people and not just actors playing characters. :)

And you are so welcome. That post was such a great reminder of my post from last year and it's one that we all need to read, so it had to be included!

    1. Thanks, Lindsey! The printables are amazing (hooray for freebies, right?!) and that Bible verse was such a wake-up call for me. I only happened upon it but as soon as I read it, I knew it wasn't just coincidence that I read it that day. Such a crazy good verse! :)

    1. I haven't read The Fault in Our Stars. I know a few people who have but I haven't read it yet. I'm hoping I get the chance before I see the movie! I've heard it's tear-jerker, so I'll definitely have to read and then watch it with a bunch of Kleenex. :)

And Amy really is amazing. She's definitely a keeper when it comes to bloggers and blog friends!

p.s. I'm super excited, too! I cannot wait for Wednesday!

  9. I am not a Duck Dynasty fan - but the husband sure is!
I watch it (with a cynical attitude) sometimes with him.

And I am so excited for this month's circle! :)

    1. Haha, yeah, I think Duck Dynasty is one of those shows when you're either a fan or not a fan. I was definitely skeptical at first, but that Robertson family has definitely won me over. :)

And hooray! I'm excited about this month's theme, too, and cannot wait to read everyone's posts!

  10. I loveeee snickerdoodles, yum! I also pinned that leggings to lampshade pin... so great! So many printables!! So little room to hang them! :) Those photostrip Valentines are so cute! I would love to open one up, it would make my day! The Fault in our Stars trailer looks SO good. Did you read the book? That photoshoot with the cakes looks SO fun! I would love to do something like that one day. Those granola clusters look delish. Have you ever tried these energy balls? http://www.pinterest.com/pin/120049146286692790/ They are so good, and easy to make!

    1. I have not read The Fault in Our Stars. I've heard tons of great things about it and I've heard it's a definite tear-jerker, so I probably will late at night when no one can see me cry my eyes out, haha. :) Have you read it? I hope to read it before the movie comes out--we'll see if I get to it before then!

And I have not tried energy balls, either! I'm actually allergic to peanut butter but maybe it would work with almond butter instead? I've heard lots of great reviews about them and see them on Pinterest/blogs constantly, so I know they've got to be good! :)
