March 7, 2014

the best (and tastiest) gift ever.

Happy Friday and Happy March and Happy Daylight Savings weekend, friends! I'm a wee bit sad about the last of those things, however. Even though extra daylight is nice, it's not so nice to lose an hour of sleep this weekend.

But enough of that. Here's to the weekend, to resting up, and enjoying some quiet time, too. Happy Weekend, friends!

The Circle will be back on Wednesday--hope you're as excited about it as I am! And I also hope you're as astonished about it being March and time for the link-up as I am too...

Happy Hunger Games, friends! Are you or have you purchased Catching Fire? You'd better believe watching it is at the top of my to-do list this weekend!

  1. Oooh I saw that article about sensitive people, too! It seriously felt like they were describing me perfectly (especially the easy crier part, hah!). And that article on blogging on a busy schedule is going to be such a great resource for me! I've felt so overwhelmed with my newly busier schedule and it's been hard to blog, so I definitely need some words of wisdom.

    1. Same! Aaahh, our similarities are amazing. I, too, am an easy crier and you don't even know how many times I've teared up. I used to be embarrassed about it (still kind of am, to be honest), but I'm learning that it's a part of me and something I can't really change.

And as for blogging on a busy schedule, I pretty much live by all of those tips! I think it's a great way to really get yourself into blogging and it works for me--so since we're so similar, it must work for you! :)

  2. You totally said "y'all"! Ha! Are you really a southerner at heart?? ;)

    1. Haha, I loooove that you caught that! I feel like I've used that once or twice on my blog, but I definitely haven't done it in a long time. Maybe that makes me a southerner at heart! :)

  3. i looooove white cabinets. i love white everything, actually. with little pops of color, like kitchen utensils or tea towels.
i am so excited about ABM's photoshop actions! i plan to buy the 'signature collection' first.
a photo essay?! i'm all over that!

    have a great weekend, friend!

    1. Me, too! I looove the power and beauty of white and truly believe it's a beautiful (and fun!) color to decorate with. I, too, love pops of color and cannot wait to have a place of my own to decorate entirely to my liking!

  4. We did little jams like that as wedding favors :)

    1. Aw, that's so sweet (literally and figuratively!). :) I love jams and anything berry-related (especially raspberries), so it was such a sweet surprise get it as a gift from a little kiddo I teach Sunday School to!

  5. love all these links!
Those cupcakes look so good! Shoot! I may have to make those!
that Journaling idea is too cute!
Loved your post on Meg's blog, so good!
Also loved that you said- "ya'll" Going to grad school in the south makes me want to develop that southern accent. lol!

    1. Haha, I love that you noticed my "y'all." I honestly didn't think much of it, but I guess it must mean I've got some secret Southern routes, right? :)

  6. i rented catching fire and watched it on my flight today!! it's also been ordered from amazon and i'm waiting for it to come in. did you watch it yet??

    1. That would've made for a fun flight movie! :) And I made my mom get it for me (haha) while I was working, but I'm now the proud owner of Catching Fire. I re-watched Hunger Games last night but promised my sister I'd wait for her to watch Catching Fire--so no, I haven't seen it quite yet. But soon!!! :)

  7. Another shout-out!! Wow!!! :) Thanks so much, friend!

I'm late on commenting and I'm sure you have watched Catching Fire by now, please let's discuss!! :) :)
Loving those blog tips for a busy schedule. Something I'm getting used to as well, scheduling blogs.

    1. Um, why wouldn't I give you a shout-out? Honestly, I don't know why I wouldn't! :)

And as for Catching Fire, I actually haven't seen it yet (gasp, right?). I decided to wait for my sister to watch it so I'm counting down the days until the weekend to watch it. I'm pretty much on pins and needles waiting for the weekend now! I actually re-watched the first movie last weekend and I'm glad I did because I forgot little things from the series. :)

And as for blogging on a busy schedule, I loved and agreed with all of those things--especially scheduling posts!
