    1. I know, right? Those cherry blossoms have been popping up everywhere around town lately, it's almost crazy. And when the petals drop and catch in the breeze it looks like snow, too! :)

And I'm thinking it'll be a great week, I'm off for Spring Break so I'll definitely take advantage of some time off from work and teaching. Praying you have a good week, too!

  2. Love the blooms! Yay for spring!
This week I was cutting up a bunch of oranges....and couldn't help but stop and do a whole photoshoot of them!
My husband was like...."what....why are you taking pictures of oranges!" But, they just looked so happy.
Hope your Monday is great Kiki!

    1. You've got a blogger's/photographer's eye now! Isn't it crazy how something as ordinary as an orange can look so pretty? :) I can't wait to see your shots now!

Hope you're having a good start to your week, too!

  3. I love how pictures can make simple, every day things seem extra special. Photographs allow us to give the little things the appreciation that they deserve, for they are blessings too!

And now I also really want an orange, ha ha.

    1. Exactly! That's pretty much why I love photography. It can really transform the ordinary moments and objects into some pretty extraordinary things. :) It really does remind you that it's all about the little things in life!

And I'm kind of craving some oranges now, too!

  4. I picked up a bunch of fresh fruit when I went grocery shopping Friday...I forgot how wonderful it is! I've mostly been eating apples, bananas, and those little cutie orange things since last fall. The new variety is nice.

Tell me about that popcorn - what kind is it and how do you make it?

    1. I know, right? Fresh fruit is the best and it's even tastier when it's in season, too. :) I, too, have been living on bananas and apples and cuties (or as I call them Satsumas) for what seems like ages now and I'm excited to see raspberries and such in stores and on sale every now and then, too!

As for the popcorn, it's homemade caramel corn! I popped the corn myself and then made the caramel with brown sugar and butter and then poured/tossed the caramel on top. The only thing to keep in mind is that the caramel is really hot and it also cools/hardens quickly, too. I've done it with my sister before and it works really well with two people--I did it this last time by myself and got caramel on my fingers and got some lovely 2nd degree burns, haha. :)

If you need a recipe, here's the one I used this past time (I would add that it's best to add the caramel to the popcorn in a large pot, however, since it makes the combining/coating process a lot easier/less dangerous!): http://www.thekitchn.com/how-to-make-crunchy-caramel-popcorn-cooking-lessons-from-the-kitchn-187893

p.s. It really is yummy and if you make some, let me know how you like it!

    1. Haha, me too! :) I actually really took that shot of the oranges because we've had some of our student teachers cut our oranges with the segments (instead of against, which is how my sister did it in this shot). :)

And those cherry blossoms have been popping up everywhere as of late! It really makes the city wayyy more visually pleasing, if I say so myself!

    1. Thanks! They're my fave from this week's set. :)

And that's the caramel corn! It actually didn't come out as well as my first batch came out a couple month's back, but it's still equally tasty (even if it did burn my fingers in the process, haha). :)

    1. Hi Lacey! I am THRILLED that you got your package and that you like the presents, too! I feel like I've been on pins and needles hoping that you liked your gifts and that you got them all, too. Did the earrings come in time? They were taking longer to ship out than I expected, so I had them shipped directly to your place. :)

And I cannot wait to get to know you more (and be able to comment on your blog posts, too!). It was sooo hard for me not to come out and comment because I didn't want to give anything away!

p.s. Thank you so much for those words about my blog! That means so much and it really brightened my day to hear that!
