BITS AND PIECES.

apple blossoms
Happy Weekend, friends! Hooray for Easter weekend, a chance to seek and find neon plastic eggs, eat chocolate rabbits, and most importantly, celebrate Jesus. He is risen indeed!

But before I check out for the weekend, I've created my always and forever Bits and Pieces from my week. One photo, lessons learned, and a lot of lovely links to go around:

10 things your blog should definitely have.

And 10 reasons why you should blog.

The cutest little cakes you've ever seen.

I want this in my backyard--don't you?

I've always been a fan of these bowls, but now that there's a DIY-able version of them out there? Yep, I'm sold.

I'm choosing spring adventures instead of spring cleaning and I think you will/should, too!

I've never baked a (single-serving) cake in a mug before, but this one has got me thinking I need to try it. Have you ever made brownies or cakes in a mug before?

So excited about this collaboration!

Because Easter is for every (single) day.

This kitchen is lovely, just lovely.

And this calligraphy work is my fave.

This link-up is such a brilliant and refreshing idea.

Speaking of link-ups, have you linked up with The Circle yet? The link-up goes through the end of this month and I cannot wait to read your post!

How to have (real, true) hope.

Another beautiful new-to-me photographer worth checking out.

And some wise words on how to handle criticism.

I really, really, REALLY want to attend or host a party like this someday. Like, really.

Be your change.

Make sure to find some time to play this weekend, okay? As a teacher, I cannot say how much I adore playing and enjoying time with kids. They really do change how you view things and remind you to let loose and have fun, too!

Have a great one!

    1. It's all thanks to Pinterest, really! Whenever I stumble upon a beautifully photographed pin, I try and find out who took it and if he/she has a blog or site, too. Pinterest for the win! :)

    1. Oh no is right! :) But I know what you mean about getting behind on blog reading. I honestly HATE that feeling and due to life and work blogging often just gets pushed until the end of my days. And if it helps, I try to post on (at least) a M/W/F schedule (emphasis on try!).

I hope you have a splendid Easter weekend as well! :)

  7. So glad you passed along those links of things your blog should have and reasons to have a blog! I've been wanting to revamp a little. :)

    What a kitchen transformation!! Wow!

I know about your love for calligraphy and I've been meaning to tell you about my friends shop! She is so great and her proceeds help on her trips to Haiti! The prints that are in my bedroom are from her! She doesn't have much yet, but can do custom things. I keep an eye out on her instagram for all the new and fun things she is doing! Here is the link to her Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DesignsByHilliary

    1. I always want to re-vamp my blog, too! It's funny, because I actually have moments when I want to completely re-brand my blog (name included). But then I'm reminded of His great timing and then I scrap that idea (for the time being). :)

Anyway, your friend is soooo incredibly talented! Sometimes when I hear about little shops I honestly get a little wary of their work because it can be not-so-great BUT your friend's work is amazing! I'm definitely going to go look at all of her prints now! Thanks for passing it along!
