Happy (belated) Easter, my dear friends! I debated on sharing some photos from my not-so-eventful Easter, but in the end figured why not. I mean, it is my blog after all. But anyway, how was your Easter? Did you search for or find any eggs? I put together four dozen eggs for the little preschoolers in my Sunday School class, created some Resurrection Eggs to help teach them the Easter Story and then watched them as they found all forty-something eggs in less than five minutes. FIVE MINUTES. It's crazy, I tell ya.

Anyway, I'm thinking you could say I thoroughly enjoyed my Easter Sunday. Tons of sweets (that chocolate bunny isn't mine, I promise!), lots of laid-back family time, and lots of celebration, too. So I guess you could say I had a pretty good Easter.

How about you?

    1. Haha, I know, right? I actually think it's hilarious that I all too often fall back on taking photos of food. It's kind of like a not-so-great food diary, haha. :)

    1. Oh, food. How I have a love/hate relationship with you, haha. To be honest, I try really hard NOT to take photos of food but I've been in a little bit of a rut photography-wise in this project because I feel like I have hundreds of days to go (which I do) and nothing to photograph. It's kind of terrible. But all that aside, it really was a great weekend! I hope yours was great, too! :)

    1. Haha, I know, right? It's terrible how much food is in our house. The only good thing is that I'm living with four other people who can help eat it... :)

  4. YUMMMM to that cake and those cinnamon rolls! I loved reading about what you prepared for your Sunday School class. :) All that work and it's OVER in minutes....The story of the teacher's life! :)

    1. That cake was a-mazing! I've learned that one of the greatest perks about living at home is that you can try out recipes and bake when you're in the mood and not feel too bad about it since you have tons of people to help you eat it up. :)

And it definitely was a shock for me! I don't know why I was so shocked but I ended up teaching this Easter (I switch off and on with another person) and was shocked at how fast it went! I literally turned around and all the kids were done finding their eggs. It was definitely a reminder of how teachers' lives are, that's for sure! :)

  6. yay for snail-mail! :)

Also, I did an Easter egg hunt for my mission friends class at church! I had so much fun getting the eggs and the prizes inside and then hiding the eggs around our (small) classroom. They found all the eggs SO FAST! Those kids are too smart and crafty for me sometimes. :)

I also love dogwoods! So pretty!

    1. Yes, hooray for snail mail! I keep saying that I need to get caught up on mine and I really and truly do! It's been on my to-do list for some time now and I really need to put it on the top!

And isn't it crazy how fast they get found? I remember finding mine as a kid quickly, but never really fully grasped how quickly an Easter egg hunt goes by. Kids are definitely smart guys, that's for sure!

I love dogwoods, too! I'm definitely more of a fan of the pink smaller flowers (as opposed to the larger white ones on another tree in our yard), though! :)

    1. I know, right? I think it's a ground sedum variety, but I don't really know which type. :) And I did have a great Easter! I hope you (and Serene!) did as well. He is risen indeed!
