I got to celebrate Spring Break with almost a week off from work and it was, simply put, delightful. I never would have imagined that a week off would be so refreshing, so relaxing, and so energizing, too. It was such a treat to sleep in, eat non-school food, and spend time with my family, too. You would think that living under one roof would be family-overload, but with different schedules and routines, it's almost the opposite (well, almost).

That said, this is just a peek into my week. Lots of doggy walking, a little bit of sunshine and lots of rain, some flowering quince (my new favorite!), and some IKEA time, too. Yep, it was great.

Are you on Spring Break? Do you get one? If not, how do you plan on enjoying your Spring-y weekends?

    1. If it's the pink flowers you're talking about, it's actually a really huge bush called flowering quince--it's realllly pretty and a current obsession of mine, haha. And IKEA definitely made my week! My mom suggested we hit up IKEA (it's not very close to us and the first time I've gone to that one and not the one close to my grandparents) and it definitely made my week. :)

And it's actually a make your own microwavable cupcake thing my cousin gave me and my sisters. I have no idea what's supposed to happen or how it works, but it should be fun to try!

    1. I'm living vicariously through my own photos now that I'm back at work, haha. :)

As for my pup, that's Mac, my family's border collie mix. He looks a lot younger than he is (we guess he's ten-ish, but we're not sure since he was a stray) and he's kind of a grumpy old man now, but I love him for it, to tell you the truth! He barks a lot but makes up for it with his cute looks!

And are you running? That sounds like fun (well, not so much for me since I don't run that far!) and I hope you have a great time! :)

  3. Looks like you had a beautiful week! Glad you got to unwind. :)

I'm buying a used DSLR camera from one of my friends, and if I am ever able to take pictures half as beautiful as yours I will be a happy camper!

    1. We were surprised by how nice it was at the beach last weekend, so I'd definitely recommend a trip! Even if it's lousy weather, it's definitely a relaxing place to hangout. :) And that necklace was an impulse buy from Old Navy. Fortunately, it didn't cost all that much and it's also something that I've been wanting for some time now! :) Oh, and IKEA. How could you NOT like that place? :)

  7. I am loving all of those pretty blooms! I just got back from the park and I meant to take photos of all of the beautiful flowers, but my phone died! Ugh. I'll just have to go back tomorrow. :) Oh gosh, and don't get me started on Ikea. I could spend an entire afternoon in there!

    1. Oh, and yes! I'm on spring break this week! I've been sleeping in, blogging, relaxing, and today I'm babysitting. It's going by way too quickly, though. :(

    2. Yes, you'll have to go back soon! I am in love with all of the flowers I've been seeing lately and cannot wait to see yours. And I HAVE spent an entire afternoon in IKEA, so don't even get me started. That place is crazy addicting. I mean, they even have a restaurant and comfy couches to sit on! :)

And I'm glad you're getting a chance to enjoy your break! It definitely goes quickly, but it's so nice, right?

  9. It is SO unfair that you've got all that gorgeousness going on all around you. I have yet to see a flower (or lovely beach) here. Good thing I'll be visiting ;)

    1. I so wish I could send some your way! It's funny that you mention gorgeousness, because what isn't pictured are the many (and I mean six of the seven) rainy days that followed. Let's just say it's not always as pretty here as it looks! :) But yes, I cannot wait until you fly over to my side of the country!!! :)
