It's officially summer, my friends! The sun is out, the books in my to-read stack is growing, and my arms are getting a little more color thanks to some afternoon runs. I'm so excited to make the most of this time and am already dreading all that I know I have to get done, too. But for now, I'm just going to enjoy it.

Have a great weekend! Got any Father's Day plans in store? I'm not exactly sure what's going to happen, but I do know that good food is involved--something that's pretty important in this family...

Now this is my kind of evening.

And the cutest template for your summer to-do list.

How faith and blogging go hand in hand. I read this post and then re-read it again and agree with it 100 times over. As someone who lives for Jesus, I want my blog to shine His light not just through my written words but through my life, too. What about you?

This shirt made me laugh.

The first photo in this home tour is the perfect napping spot, amiright?

A cute (and colorful!) retro apartment.

I don't drink soda, but that doesn't mean that Coca-Cola isn't a genius.

As a blogger who leaves/responds to comments, I found this post on exclamation points to be so very, very true. In other words, I am so very, very guilty of doing this...

11 ways Maya Angelou taught us to be better women.

I said goodbye to all my little preschoolers on Friday and may or may not have gotten a little nostalgic. They're almost all four and five now and I cannot believe how much they've grown. Someone please tell me how kids grow up so fast?

Some pretty fabric flowers to make this weekend.

And because her printables never fail to amaze me. Load up on printer ink, my friends!

Why do YOU unfollow blogs? This post was spot on for me and if I were to add anything, it would be all about a lack of connection, a blog's appearance, and when a blogger/blog changes, too.

50 Anthro hacks for every facet of your life.

These brownies sound divine.

And so does this cheesecake.

Plus, another photography blog to fall in love with.

And the prettiest temporary tattoos out there.

Have a wonderful weekend, my friends!

  1. I want to wrap up this list and take it home with me! Loving the retro apartment. In fact, I want to make those awesome brownies in that great apartment in preparation for that gorgeous evening party (first link). Gorgeous.
    Have a great weekend :)

    1. Haha, that sounds like me when I discover link lists on blogs. They're always so much fun to go through!

And making those brownies in that apartment for that evening party sounds amazing to me, too! :)

  2. Heck YEAH that BBQ evening looked amazing!!!! Might be what I do for my birthday! Now if only I could find a backyard...

    1. That would make a wonderful birthday--if only everyone's backyards looked like that. :)

    1. I love that you enjoy these links as much as I enjoy yours. :)

And that simple evening link was my favorite (by far) from this week's post. When I saw it, I actually thought of you and our love for things like that!

  4. I also thought the post about faith and blogging was awesome and just what I needed to read. I love Madison's posts! And I can't get over that those brownies actually exist, haha. Thanks for sharing all these. It's always so fun to see what you recommend or what posts you've been liking recently! xo, gina

    1. Me, too! I just started reading Madison's blog and loved that post of hers. It was spot on and one of the best posts I've read on faith and blogging in a long time. And I'm glad you enjoy these links! I love reading posts like these myself and love having an extra excuse to scour the web (aka browse Pinterest) for great links to share. :)

  5. Haha- the article about the exclamation marks made me laugh! :)
    It's so true!
And- that photography blog IS beautiful! I know Maggie from working at camp together years ago! It's been fun to follow them on their journey!

    1. That's exactly how I felt! I read it and laughed because I not only felt super guilty about my (over-use) of exclamation points, but how true it all was for everyone else, too--especially in the blogging world. :)

And that's crazy that you know Maggie! To be honest, I didn't even catch their names. :) That's so cool that you know them and seem to have been following along for some time now. Small world, right?

  6. I love the story behind that simple evening, so cool!
    the summer printable, so cute!
Faith and blogging post-- loved it!
    The printables, love them!

    1. Me, too! I'd heard about the Peach Truck before on Instagram or something but loved how they used that new adventure and paired it with such a fun evening dinner celebration.

And I looove those printables, too! Danielle never ceases to amaze me with her work. :)

  7. I loved that faith and blogging post too. And thanks for sharing my link! So nice of you :) checking out that exclamation point link now! (I used two exclamation points in this comment. Interested to see what the post is about...)

    1. Me, too! It was so well written and I was amazed at how Madison wrote exactly how I feel about blogging. :) And I loved that post of yours and HAD to share it. It was such a fun read and I look forward to the next post in the series!

And I use exclamation points all the time, now (partly thanks to blogging, haha). It's just so hard to convey emotion through words and text!

  8. I love it when you post links to new photography blogs! Also, loved that post on faith and blogging. It gave me a lot to think about.

    1. I love finding new photography blogs! If you ever need a post idea, maybe share a few of your faves? I'd love to see who you are inspired by! :) And I agree with you on Madison's post. It was such a good read. :)

  9. Great links. Printing off the summer to do list today, it's adorable!

    1. I agree, it really is adorable! :) I can't wait to print it off and fill out it, too. Thanks for the reminder! :)
