This week was fast and so very, very good. We celebrated Father's Day, my sister's graduation, preschool graduation, and the end of the school year, too. It was full of so many smiles, dessert(!), and lots of flowers and presents as well. It was full, to say the least. As I was leaving work (after being hug-tackled by ~15 preschoolers), I couldn't help but feel the nostalgia of it all. Just a year ago I finished college and now here I am working and teaching and living out my passions and dreams and watching little kids learn and grow and learn some more. Life is good, so very, very good.

How was your weekend, my friends?

p.s. I'm putting together a Throwback Thursday post of sorts for this month's #thecirclelinkup. Come visit the old blog this Wednesday to see what I've got in store for y'all!

    1. I just started it last night and so far, so good. I feel like it's a book I would have read for a Psychology class or something (right now I'm reading through the more historical side of introversion, if that makes any sense). It's actually really interesting so far and am actually thinking of buying it for my bookshelf. I'll definitely let you know once I finish, though!

  2. Oh my gosh I LOVED Quiet! Such a good one. I'm a huge extrovert, but I read this mostly to get into the mind of my husband. It really helped me understand him a lot better. I hope you're enjoying it! I wrote down a bunch of quotes and stuff when I read it. So interesting. I think I might have missed my calling to be a psyc major. I find all that stuff fascinating.

    1. I completely agree! I just started it last night and already know it's going to be a good one. I wasn't a Psych major but I always enjoy(ed) reading about personality stuff, especially now that I'm a proud introvert, haha. It's been so cool to read a book about the kind of person I am when I grew up thinking that there was something wrong with me since I was so quiet. Anyway, let's just say that it's a book I'm thinking I need to buy and add to my bookshelf. I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)

    1. That's what I thought! I can't remember if I heard about this book on a blog or if it was a TED talk or something, but I'm one chapter in and loving it so far. It definitely reminds me of Psychology classes, but in a good way. It's been really fascinating to read more about introverts and introversion and how the desire to be extroverted has changed with time/history. I'm excited to see what else the author has to say! :)

  4. Ooh! Love that you're reading "Quiet." I read it last summer, and as an introvert, I give it a hearty stamp of approval. Let me know what you think. I bet you'll enjoy it.

    1. I'm definitely enjoying it so far! It's definitely reminiscent of some Psychology classes I took, but it's also given me the reassurance I need to be an introvert and to embrace my introversion, too. I'm only in the very beginning of the book (read: two chapters in!) but I'm already excited to learn and nod my head to more that Susan has to say. I had no idea you'd read it! That said, I'll definitely let you know about my thoughts on this book as soon as I finish it. It's a great read, right?
