It's funny, posting these photos nearly a week late. Looking through and editing these photos reminded me of all that took place last week. Last week was exhausting, but so full and so good (and I have a hard time believing that it all happened just last week!). And now that this week is nearly half over, I'm off to go edit all the photos I've taken so far.

What have you taken photos of lately?

  1. Love the color of your bag. And uh. Do you realize those are rats? Because I fear the day my kid wants one.

    1. Me, too! I'm falling more and more in love with mints and teals and this bag (from Target of course) does just the trick. Sure, I'm a little late to the whole mint trend, but that's okay with me!

      And those are rats! To be completely honest, I was wayyy skeptical of them at first (the tails for one!) but my sister's had like five rats (not all at once, just over four years time, I think) and they've all won me over. They're quite friendly (much friendlier than hamsters, in my opinion!). :)

  2. Berries = YUM!

    Rain = :)

    Bag = Love the color!

    My sister had two rats that looked just like those (Amy and Grace)! :) It was a little strange having rats as pets, but she loved them and they were definitely better than hamsters! What did your sister name hers?

    And...What book are you reading?

    1. It was a little strange to have rats as pets at first! They're not my pets, but I've definitely gotten over the fact that they're rats (it helps that my sister has had rats for 4ish years now!). She's one a "P" name streak and these two girls are Penelope (Penny) and Pippa. We've also had a Piper, Phoebe, and Poppy in the past. Let's just say that it's a tongue twister to say all their names out loud, haha.

      And it's the second book in the Divergent series! I've started it and put it down to read other books but am just getting into it again. It's been so long that I've honestly forgotten the storyline, haha. :)

  3. Is THAT Japanese soda? The one that a ball drops or something and realizes the fizz? If it is...i love it!

    1. Yes it is!!! That's the one! It wasn't until I saw a Youtube video last month of people trying them that I'd heard of them and knew I had to try it for myself. I had no idea how many flavors there were out there and have yet to try the original flavor but they're a lot of fun and pretty good, too! Do you have a favorite flavor?

    1. Thanks, Stephanie! It's a Target bag and I got it mainly for the color factor. :)

      And it's Insurgent (part of the Divergent series). I picked it up and started reading it awhile back but it got put back on the bookshelf because I had other books that I wanted to read from the library. I've re-started it and am hoping to finish it soon!

  5. Ramune! I just had the Strawberry flavor for the first time a couple of days ago, and it's so yummy. And your sister's new rats look sweet! My little brother had pet rats growing up, and they were just the sweetest things, you couldn't help but love them. They were almost like mini-dogs, coming when they were called and wanting to snuggle and everything!

    1. You spotted it! I only *just* discovered it (and I'm Japanese!) and am so sad I didn't know about it sooner. The packaging is definitely the best part. :) My sisters and I tried the pineapple, coconut, and lychee flavors so I'm interested to see what the other flavors are like!

      And you're so right, the rats are like itty bitty dogs! We have a dog and my sister has had a few rats now and at first I was a little skeptical, but now I have to say that they're pretty darn cute and cuddly. :)

  6. These photos are so great! Love the water action in the strawberry one (and I hope you make some pie!!), and I really love the cropping on all of them. Such interesting angles and close ups.

    1. Thanks, Anne! I love water action shots. :) And these strawberries were actually for a snack for a bunch of preschoolers--so unfortunately, not this time around. But next time for sure!

    1. It's from Target! And the color is perfect so I highly recommend it.

      And girl, food photos are my kind of photos. I was looking through my camera not too long ago and realized how many of my photos are of food and nature. :)

    1. Thanks! It's from Target (as always) and while it's smaller than my normal bags, the color totally won me over. :)

      And that's actually a Japanese-like-soda (I'm not so much a fan of plain coconut water, either--and I typically love coconut products!). It's cool in that there's a marble you have to push down to open it (it's weird, but if you Google Ramune, it'll make more sense). To be honest, we got it for the packaging and it was a lot better than coconut water, in my opinion!
