BITS AND PIECES.

bitsandpieces1016
Happiest of happy Fridays, friends! The weather is definitely turning more and more fall-ish and while I can't say I love the rain, it is nice to have cooler weather. Although, to be honest, cool and dry weather would be perfect. But enough about the weather. How about all these links? I hope you like them all, friends!

I was honored to be featured on Anna's blog this week and shared a few words on courage. Which is almost an oxymoron, coming from a girl who's naturally fearful and hesitant.

On creating your own reading nook.

Loving this DIY clay necklace.

Be brave enough to make a mess.

On downsizing and making room for change and growth.

One of the cutest pet costumes out there.

21 cooking tips that will change your life.

And the ultimate pie crust guide. Perfect for the holiday season, if you ask me!

I'm thinking I might have to make my own day-in-the-life video now!

Some great thoughts on when to save and when to splurge.

These sound like the perfect fall afternoon snack.

Would you ever think about joining an articles club?

13 creative wall ideas.

How guilt gets in the way of our health. As someone who feels really guilty about skipping a workout day or eating a few too many cookies, this post was just what I needed.

THIS engagement session. You're welcome for sharing it with you.

And then there's this wedding. Swoon.

Have a lovely weekend!

  1. Mmmm, those caramel apple slices! And I love this idea of an articles club - there are so many good articles out there that I always mean to read but never actually get around to, so this would be perfect. And it would be so fun to get introduced to different topics by having other people select articles too.

  4. The pie crust guide: so interesting! I didn't know you could actually overwork crust, although that makes a lot of sense. And you SHOULD make your own day-in-the-life video! Do it.

  5. I agree with you! An articles club just sounds so fascinating (even just longer blog posts would be fun to discuss with others!). I have a hard time finding time to read articles (let alone books) so it was a really cool concept to hear about an articles club. And I also think it would be more fun to talk about different topics and just get to know others better, too!

And the caramel apple slices would make the perfect treat for that club! :)

  7. Same! Just that morning (when I first read it), I had been feeling major guilt about not working out that long. But like you said, we need to be able to give ourselves grace! :)

  8. I know, right? I've never been great at (and have also been scared of) baking pies because of the crust. That said, the crust guide was really interesting to read!

And I hope to make a video someday! I'd love to show little glimpses of work life and am hoping that once things settle down a bit, I'll be able to! :) Thanks for the idea!!

  11. yay for being courageous and chatting about finding courage!!! I love that clay necklace!! So much fun! I loved the article about downsizing! Something I have been working on for a while... even if I haven't been that successful. I could eat that cupcake right up it's too cute!!! Love numbers 3, 8, 13, and 16 from the cooking tips!! They seem so obvious, yet I've never thought to try them!! Yes! I've always believed in baking the crust from scratch!! Love that guide, I want to try some now!! that snack looks tasty and fun to make!! those are such bold walls! I'd like to say that I would try one, or even want to... but I don't think I'm brave enough... Love that engagement session!! Soo sweet!! Love the bride's dress! So vintage and elegant!!
