DEAR FRIEND.

Dear reader friend,

I've written a letter to you before, but I know it's been awhile since then. It's funny, because whenever I open up a new post, I think about you. I wonder how you're doing, if you'll find and read this post, and if you still come visit my blog.

I wonder if you have a blog yourself. If you think about blogging as much as I do (do you?), and if you are still chugging along. I wonder if you've made friends in this blogging community and if my blog is welcoming and inviting.

Blogging is a funny thing. We say we blog for ourselves, but deep down, we all blog for the readers out there, too. Some bloggers may write for the numbers that readers provide, but I hope and pray that I'm blogging for the people behind each screen. Those people being you.

I'm an introvert so I never imagined that I would share my life, share my innermost thoughts online. I mean, this is the worldwide web. Where anyone could read this. But sometimes you just have to put those thoughts aside and share your heart. Because while I need privacy, I need friendships even more. I know for a fact that if I hadn't started sharing my life with you, I wouldn't be the person that I am today.

So here's where I thank you. A time where I thank each and every one of you for stopping by. For sticking around and bearing through all of my crazy blog changes and designs. For reading my rambles, for relating to my pain, for celebrating my victories. It's been a great journey and I'm excited to continue it for many, many, MANY posts to come.

Much love,
Kiki

  2. Dear Kiki,

I became a reader this year (it seems like we've known each other MUCH longer) and I stop by your blog just about every day. I love the pictures that you take, the graphics you design, and the words you write. I think it's mostly the words that kept me coming back in the beginning. The words were how I got to know you and now I come back day after day because I know it's where I'll find YOU. :)

Thanks for putting the time in. Thanks for hanging out here. Thanks for being YOU!

  13. Dear Victoria,

I, too, feel like I've known you forever! You actually remind me of some old neighbor friends of mine and so it makes me feel like I've known you for that long. It's crazy that we've never met and yet know so much about each other and get along so well, too.

Thank YOU for being so honest, so kind, and so thoughtful. Your words are AMAZINGLY wise and I'm so grateful to call you a friend!

  15. CRAZYYYYY. We must be blogging twins or something. Either that, or something is in the blogging water... :)

  16. Isn't it crazy true? I realize that I could hide all of my struggles and fears and just push them down farther so people couldn't see them OR I could share them and not only heal from writing my words out but also from sharing and being encouraged and supported by others. I definitely choose the latter of the two! :)

Thanks for being such an encouraging, sweet, and wise friend to me!!
