BITS AND PIECES.

freedom
Happy Weekend, friends! After a week full of sick kids, I'm finally feeling, well, sick. I'm looking forward to the chance to catch up on sleep and hanging out in yoga pants (#reallife). I'm also hoping to do a little thrifting and blogging, too, because it's the weekend and that's what weekends are for!

Do you have plans for the weekend?

A woodland + a wedding? That sounds good to me!

What a cool headboard idea!

And a clever way to avoid small talk.

Why do YOU write? Such a good question to ask yourself every now and then as a blogger.

Whipped cranberry porridge. Doesn't this sound interesting?

I need to get my hands on some twinkly lights.

And I'll take this cake, too!

Some wise words on Instagram, highlight reels, and our real beautiful lives.

This book sounds intriguing.

And this is an equally intriguing challenge to try.

Would you ever turn your blog into a book?

Have a wonderful one!

p.s. So sorry that I've been creating some broken links these past two weeks! Y'all are wayyy too kind not to mention it--but feel free to! Obviously, I've been a wee bit distracted/busy with work! Oops!

  1. Oh, that minimalism challenge really is an amazing idea! I'm not sure I could EVER do #1, but maybe I'll start with 2 and go from there :) Really like the concept and some of the prompts. Could be great help in my resolution to live more in the present this year!

  3. I love the minimalism challenge. Number one for me may be impossible though! Haha. I also loved the post on Insta and the one about why you write.

Have a great weekend! And I hope you feel better quickly!

  4. I know for a fact that doing #1 would be a tough one for me! I think it would be a good challenge, but a tough one nonetheless--unless I was somewhere with no service/wifi! :) But I, too, like the concept and many of the ideas are great ones to try out!

  5. It's not that bad of a cold, fortunately! I'm a huge proponent of honey for colds and sore throats so I've been eating honey like crazy (it also provides a little sugar rush, not gonna lie!). :)

Enjoy that nice weather! It's been rainy this week so 60 degree weather sounds amazing!

  6. Number one would definitely be tough for me, too! I think it could be possible but I also think it would be realllllly hard (I'd have to hide my electronics and turn off the wifi, haha). :)

And thanks! I'm already feeling a lot better. :) I hope you have a great weekend, too!

  7. Love the minimalism challenge - no makeup, no internet? Eek! :)
And the small-talk post. So good.

  8. The internet one would totally get me--I definitely think it would be interesting to try, but really hard to do! Maybe it'll be a challenge for me this summer. :)

And I loved that small talk post, too! Me and small talk are NOT a good combination!
