BITS AND PIECES.

IMG_0068bunny
Happy Friday, friends! I ended up taking a few days off of work to get rid of a cold (and that's why you've seen me online more, haha) but that doesn't mean I'm not excited for a weekend full of fun (as opposed to sleeping and sitting/resting).

Do you have plans for the weekend? Are you snowed in? Or are you enjoying the sun?

Plus another a cute photo album idea.

And a fun (and easy!) way to update your frames.

Adding this print to my wishlist.

The sweetest thing ever.

And the perfect sweet treat, too.

One of the most beautifully vivid metaphors I've read in a long time.

Sweet potato fries will always be my fave.

10 books every aspiring blogger should read. Adding these to my to-read list stat!

"We always have a great God who doesn't make mistakes." AMEN.

I have my eye on this duvet cover.

And some very truthful words for the weekend.

Have a great one!

  1. Oh Anthropologie... whenever we go in the local store I literally have to put blinders on and walk straight to the clearance room!

  2. I hope you get back to 100% soon!

That moleskin photo book is super super cute! Also, I had on idea you could make an accordion photo book but I love it!

  3. I hope you feel better! I’m loving the blogging book list and, like you, I’m already stocking my cart on Amazon! Such great titles and can’t wait to start reading. The one that stood out to me the most is The Badass Blog Planner. I never thought I would need a planner for blogging but now that mine is beginning to pick up a little bit of steam, it’s important for me to stay organized.

Do you use a blog planner? Do you think it’s a helpful tool or unnecessary?

Always love your posts, Kiki! Have a great Friday!

  4. Days off never diminish the joy of WEEKENDING!!! :)

    That moleskin is gorgeous!!!!

That etsy shop is new to me, I favorited it so that I can look around later!

Thanks for linking to my post!!! I'm glad you liked it! :)

I just saw baked sweet potato fries on IG earlier this week. I'm going to give them a go soon!

That duvet cover is great...I especially love the accent of blue and pink. It's perfect for you!!!

Have a great weekend, friend! :)

  5. I've never set foot in an actual Anthro store but I KNOW it would be dangerous if I did. Their stuff is so pretty and fun! :)

  6. Thanks, Beka! I'm already starting to feel loads better, fortunately! :)

And I had no idea you could do either! I love both photo ideas and would really love to try both!

  7. Thanks, Kelly! I'm feeling better and am so grateful for the power of sleep. :)

As for blog planners, I don't really use one. I have a planner for work and will add in blog stuff (mostly Circle stuff, really) but other than that, I just use a combination of sticky notes for to-do lists and ideas (that I stick onto my laptop!) and then Blogger to actually schedule posts and store future blog post ideas. So it's a little unconventional and not really professional, but since I don't do ads/sponsorships, it's really only on me in terms of blogging and all that!

    Do you use a planner?

  8. Girl, we have so much in common. I loooove that we love the same links. It makes me THAT much more excited to meet you face-to-face someday! :)

And you are so very welcome for the link love, that post post really spoke to me and I know it will speak to others, too.

Let me know how the sweet potato fries turn out! I love them but haven't tried making them for a few years now. I need to give it another go!

  9. THAT BUNNY!
And how have I not heard of Take Heart?
Loved the post - thanks for sharing your links!

P.S. You have to tell me if you do the heart lesson! ;)

  10. That bunny is quite a spunky bunny, haha. He acts differently for each person in the family, it turns out! Fortunately, he seems to like me! :)

And girl, you have GOT to read more of Danielle's posts. That girl is a blog design genius and her posts are ALWAYS golden. Always.

I have the heart lesson planned for April! I don't get to teach as much as I'd like to where I work (since we work with college student teachers) but I have it planned and am sooooo excited to teach it, it's not even funny. I'll let you know how it goes!

  11. I will be sure to let you know!!! Do you have any tips from your last time making them?

  12. I wish I had some tips for making them, but I actually wasn't too impressed with the recipe we had. They turned out too cornstarch-y or something. :(

But please do tell me how yours turn out!!

  13. Will do! I'm going to "study" several recipes, because I'm afraid they're going to be really soggy and difficult to crisp up. We'll see what I come up with!
