CURRENTLY | FEBRUARY.

IMG_0041currently
HEARTING the lovely ladies out there who take the time to shoot me an email  every now and then for no real reason at all. You make my day, you make me smile, you make me cry, and you make me feel loved. You all know who you are and you all rock! #bloggingisthebest

READING three books, actually! I just started Grace for the Good Girl and also have two other teacher books sitting on my desk near my bed. I've heard lots about Love and Logic and have been reading more about it (here's the book) and I also started this other teaching book, too. All three books are a-mazing to say the least.

PINNING this bedroom over and over and over again. I'm pretty much obsessed with this room.

EATING yummy rustic sourdough bread (from a local bakery!) with butter. It's pretty much carb-heaven and this girl's number one food weakness.

ANTICIPATING Valentine's Day, springtime weather, and a fresh trim for my hair, too. Lots of randomness but it's the little things, right?

LINKING UP WITH Anne and Jenna once again! Thanks for hosting my fave link-up (well, maybe it's my second favorite to The Circle!).

What are YOU up to currently?

  10. I know, right? SOOOO tasty, it's not even funny. :) I could actually eat the entire loaf, if I don't limit myself, haha. :)

And I keep seeing people pin that bedroom and then while I'm scrolling through my feed, I'll see it and stop. I almost repin it before I realize I've already pinned and liked and looked at it a million times before!

  14. Isn't that an awesome bedroom? I see it on Pinterest all the time and I keep re-clicking on it and realizing that it's the same post (just a different photo/pin that I see). Neutral bedrooms are the best. :)

  16. Agreed! Do you have any you'd recommend I read?

And that bedroom is my fave that I've seen online. I love neutrals and want to incorporate more wood into my room now! :)

  17. There's a two volume set called "Go Ye Therefore...And Teach" by Dr. Paul Jehle. I actually did my student teaching at his school after studying his book and listening to his lectures in college. If I ever have my own children and homeschool, those books will be a HUGE help to me! He really knows his stuff.

I love wood! I can't wait to see all the little changes you bring into your room!

  18. Fascinating! I'll have to look it up and see if I can get my hands on it--is it referencing a Bible verse/is it faith-based? It sounds so interesting!

  19. It's a handbook on Christian education! It's basically everything he knows and used in starting and running his Christian school. It's heavy stuff!

  20. I'll be sure to look it up! I've never really learned much about Christian education but I bet it would be heavy (albeit good) stuff! Thanks for the suggestion!

  26. Speaking of teaching books, have you heard of the spirit whisperer? The teacher who was in my room last year left it, and I picked it up not knowing if it would be good or not..and I've really enjoyed it! I think you'd really like it.

Girl, I'm tottttaly diggin' your new profile photo. That outfit is perfect!!!

  27. It is all about K-12 education from a Christian perspective. He weaves the Bible into everything right down to HOW instruction should take place!

  28. Ooh, that really does sound fascinating! Does it do a lot of focus on the teacher or on the teaching itself? Sorry for all the questions, it just sounds so interesting!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Honestly, it covers EVERYTHING! There are curriculum recommendations, scope and sequence for each grade, discipline procedures, and even WHY each subject is necessary. It is a true handbook on Christian education (when I say Christian education, I don't mean "sunday school" I mean k-12 education as Christians.)

  30. Wow, that is so interesting! I bet it has a lot of fascinating information and could totally see it being information no matter where you teach--public schools, homeschooling, or a Christian school, too. :)
