5 LOVELIES | VOL.1

Sometimes you need a little fun post to get you out of a blog-writing funk. And sometimes you need to be reminded of all the goodness that's in your life, too. So combine the two and you get a lovely little list of things I'm loving lately.

1. This song. We sang this song in church a few Sundays ago and I cannot get enough of it. The chorus spoke (and continues to speak) to my heart and soul: Holy Spirit, you are welcome here. Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere. Your glory, God, is what our hearts long for. To be overcome by your presence, Lord.

2. Spring blooms. Some of you may not understand how I can bear months of rain--but these spring blooms lately are exactly why I love the PNW. You can't get vibrant greenery and cheerful blooms everywhere without a little rain!

3. ThredUp. I honestly cannot get enough of this company lately. I've been trying to build my closet for the past year and getting new-to-me clothes cheap? Perfect for this teacher girl over here. The icing on the cake with this company is that there was a mix-up in my latest package and they ended up giving me a sweater for free because of it. Customer service is key for me so it was so great to receive that offer from them.

4. This dessert yogurt. Yep, you read that right. I'm a huge fan of Tillamook products and when I saw that they came out with dessert yogurt, I knew I had to try it. And my goodness, it is the delicious. Thick, creamy, and it takes yogurt to a whole new level.

5. My local library. The preschoolers and I went on a field trip recently to the public library and I was so impressed by their excitement to host a class full of preschoolers. They not only created a fun music and storytime for us, but gave us a tour of the children's department as well. It was THE best.

What are YOU loving lately?

  1. Spring blooms! Loving those here too. All of a sudden the tree in our front yard just burst forth, and it is glorious. Also loving my new shoes and your idea to focus on a lovely list of things you're loving lately :)

  5. Doesn't it just make life that much brighter and cheerful? There's something about spring blooms that add just the right amount of happiness in my life during the rainy months here. :)

And I needed this list more than you know--focusing on the positives and blessings in life is what I need these days!

  6. We sang it for the first time in church two or so weeks ago and it really hit me, too. Such a powerful song. It's songs like that that not only hit me, but really move my heart and bring tears to my eyes, too. :)

  7. Isn't it beautiful? I first heard it at church a few weeks ago and it was JUST what I needed. :)

And you should try it out! I've ordered a few times now and have gotten my mom and sisters hooked, too. We'll do a big order a few times a year and I've found most of my clothes there now! It's a lot of fun and you should let me know if you ever join/order anything!

  9. I will definitely let you know! I actually am on their email list and I checked into it but must have gotten overwhelmed or something because I haven't done anything since....

  10. It can definitely be overwhelming--I had to really narrow down which brands/stores I shop and like before I could even start browsing! :)

  11. I am LOVING that song lately too... it's been coming on my Pandora a lot when I'm putting JJ to bed and I could just listen to it all night. I am going to have to look into ThredUp too!

  12. Isn't it a great one? I heard it for the first time a few weeks ago and it really just stuck with me. I had to add it to my Pandora station, too! :)

And you should! There are some realllly great deals on their site. I will warn you that it can take a little while to go through all their stuff, though!

  15. Yes to spring blooms!! I have been to our local lilac garden and tulip festival twice for each in the past 3 weeks. I cannot get enough of spring blooms!

I love my local library too… I recently started borrowing audiobooks from there! Perfect for my long commutes to work! I am currently working through the Narnia series!

  16. Ooh, so jealous you've gone to so many gardens and festivals! I've always wanted to go to a tulip festival/garden but haven't because they always look so busy and can be kind of expensive, too.

And I need to start up on audiobooks. My sister will listen to them and since I love podcasts and such, I need to try audiobooks next! It could make for a fun roadtrip activity, that's for sure!

  17. I love all five of these things, even ThredUp, which I've heard so much about, but haven't tried yet. My church is doing a series right now on the Holy Spirit and we sing that song weekly. Spring blooms, yes! They are so lovely. Do you remember when I freaked out on you about loving Tillamook cheese?? haha I would love to try that yogurt! And the library, always such a fun place. Great list!

  18. You should try it! They have SOOOO many different brands and styles and sizes and it's a lot of fun. And it helps that it's cheaper (since it's second-hand), too.

And I do remember that Tillamook cheese moment we shared. It's simple THE BESTTTTTT and that yogurt is amazing, too! :)
