LET'S CATCH UP, SHALL WE?

I'm really bad at this thing called blogging. There are days when I'm dying to sit down and I want to just have a one-on-one chat with all of you because that's how this introvert does thing. People say I'm an open and authentic person, but when I'm put in a group of more than two or three people, I tend to shut down and become the listener. Coffee dates, however? Now, that's more my style.

Ever since summer started, I found myself battling an oh so lovely sinus infection (first one of my life and it's terrible. So sorry to all of you who get them regularly!) which meant lots and lots of naps.

And because I know you're dyyyying to know, I decided to enter into the dating scene again. As scary as it is, I'm actually enjoying it right now. Dating is weird, I tell ya. Weird, but fun and I'm learning so much about myself and guys. As long as I remember to live in the present and not let me emotions and overthinking brain get the best of me, that is. Focusing on the present and taking things one day at a time and learning to truly guard my heart and mind.

As a total side note, I'm looking for dating/relationship resources online so if you have any blog recommendations, let me know! Some of my faves are Beating 50 Percent, and Relevant Magazine. But I think it's important to keep in mind (aka this is for me to read, haha) that with any advice, it's important to stay true to who YOU are and what is right for YOU.

Blogging looks much different for me nowadays. Much slower, for one. I was looking at my posts and realized I've gone from posting three times a week to now once a week, possibly twice. Seeing single-digit numbers in post counts per month make me sad, but I'm also glad that I'm not tied down to my blog. Sometimes I wish that I blogged about everything and nothing like I used to. But then I'm also glad that I'm learning to live and document the things I truly want to remember and savor.

Aside from that, I've been reading more. Focusing more on exercising. Eating lots of pistachios (if only they weren't so expensive!). Writing snail mail. Picking berries in the backyard. Hanging out with my family. Wanting to take more photos. And taking lots of naps.

So that's what life looks like right now. And I'm glad I have this blog to document the little things like this--I'm feeling nostalgic right now and I think it's about time I read through a few of my older posts. Please tell me I'm not the only one who does that!

What's new with YOU?
