BEING STILL.

You know those people who write goals and make resolutions and then those same goals that they created with energy and enthusiasm somehow end up on the backburner?

Yeah, that's totally not me. At least, that's what I've always hoped to be true.

Except it is. It's more than halfway through 2016 and I have yet to feel like I've let my word for the year become a part of my life.

My word for this year was to be still. I chose it because I knew that I needed to be more intentional about choosing to rest, savoring the present, and accepting slowness and stillness in life. And yet, I haven't really taken it to heart and fully applied it to my life yet--which is probably why these truths are constantly reappearing in my life, right?

But it's never too late to reignite goals and passions. And I don't think that it's ever too late to start again. So yes, it's more than eight months into the year but I'm feeling the need and desire to slow down, be still, and live in the present.

So here's to starting fresh, reigniting passion and re-starting those goals. It's better late than never and it'll be especially good to practice these goals as the new school year quickly approaches.

How are your goals and resolutions going? Am I the only one who's let them slip this past year? Do you want to re-ignite your goals now with me?

"The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” – Exodus 14:14
