GIVING THANKS FOR 2016.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving (my favoritest holiday of all!), I'm channeling my inner child and creating a list of things to be grateful for from this year. It's hard to believe that the holidays are already upon us and that 2017 is just around the corner, so I'm taking a moment to soak up the presents in the present (hahaha, I know I'm just that funny).

BRAVERY. 2016 brought so many new experiences (dating to be the biggest) and through it all, I found a new sense of bravery. I'm still not keen on jumping out of a plane, but I've found that I can do so many things that I never thought I could or would before. I traveled by myself (train, plane, and automobile!),

FRESH AIR. Any chance I get to spend outside is my favorite thing to do (true fact: recess is one of my favorite parts of the day with my preschoolers!) and I'm grateful for morning runs, dog walks in the park, weekend hikes, and walks along the coastline, too.

SINGLENESS. It was the gift I always wanted to return but this year I realized it's the gift I've needed most--like underwear, perhaps? For the first time in my entire life, I've found peace, gratitude, and hope unlike any other. I've never felt at peace with my singleness and haven't felt as much trust with Jesus throughout it, either. It's been the biggest and greatest gift of all.

NETFLIX. I know, I know, I'm crazy. But it wasn't until this year that I got my own Netflix account. And let's just say that I cannot believe I lived this long without it.

CREATIVITY. Music became one of my greatest loves this year. Paired with writing, room decorating, and photography, I've discovered just how much I crave creativity and my creative outlets. When I was at my lowest, listening to music and playing my viola became my source of peace. Writing became my therapy. And photography became my grounding place.

What are YOU thankful for this year?
