Dear November,

You're one of my favorite months of the year. Fall is still in the air, but there's a special warmth and cheer that comes with the anticipation of the holidays--and then there's Thanksgiving, one of my most favorite days of the year.

November, you've swept me off my feet in more ways than one. The weather changed, the clocks changed, and the outfits went from light cardigans to thick knit pullover sweaters. Within the first week or so, I found myself fighting to find joy in the midst of disappointment. Tears, prayers, and a humility-filled surrender helped me start to overcome that battle.

There were evenings filled with viola-playing and music-writing for church. And you'd better believe that Christmas music has been pulled out and all I want to do is curl up with my bathrobe and twinkly lights (which I'm on the lookout for if you have recs!).

I'm excited to see what December brings. I know it'll be crazy and I have long to-do list, but one of the things I love most about Black Friday deals is that I have less stress for Christmas and I'm excited to begin some Advent traditions to call my own.

Here's to December. Here's to Christmas. And here's to the end of the year!
