A NEW (AD)VENTURE.

Say hello to In Its Time Photography!

I've been working away on this new (ad)venture for a few weeks now--although some of my sneaky IG friends found me before I officially launched!--but I've been thinking about it for years. I always put it on the back burner, however, somehow convincing myself that photography wouldn't be anything more than a hobby and that my camera gear and skills weren't worth other people's investment.

But I decided at the end of 2019 that I not only wanted to invest in a new camera but that I wanted to invest in myself, too. There's something about deafening the lies that you tell yourself and just embracing newness and challenges that is really quite empowering.

I saw a lot of things come to a close in 2019 and I'm ready for something new. I'm still working on building my portfolio (because I haven't taken portraits of non-family members for a couple years!), but I'm excited to meet and connect with others through my photography and to help others create memories through photographs. Some of you may not know this about me, but I started taking photos back in high school. I was a freshman and photography was the only elective that fit my schedule (the perks of signing up for classes last). But those old Pentax cameras, 35 mm rolls of film, and the dark room stirred a creative spark in my heart and I was determined to save up to buy a point-and-shoot soon after.

Through this adventure, I'm determined to prove to myself hobbies and passions can be shared with the world and that there's nothing wrong with trying something new. To be honest, this could remain just a fun hobby, but at least I'll know I tried and finally pursued a "someday" dream of mine.
