FEBRUARY IN PHOTOS.

Dear February,

February, when did you start and when did you end? I blinked and we went from January to March (and now we're in mid-March and living in some pretty crazy times). My February was full of frosty mornings (and way too many frozen morning runs) but more sunshine and sunlight to enjoy the outdoors before and after work. February was filled with a mix of highs and lows. With Valentine's Day came the chocolates and hugs and excitement that was as contagious as the flue in my classroom. But there were many a days when I struggled with my singleness, too. I had days when I was excited and thrilled about the future and other days when I've questioned the journey I embarked on late last year. February was also the month our family said goodbye to our old pup as well that called our house a home for fifteen years.

If anything, February has taught me that life is full of highs and lows, twists and turns. In those moments, we can either turn around or freeze or fret or pout. Or we can choose to trust, have faith, and keep walking, choosing to believe that there will be better days ahead.

I'm not sure what God's got in store (especially in these moments where everything seems to be changing on a daily, if not hourly, basis), but as I take one day at a time, I'm telling my heart and mind that He is good and He's got everything under control.
