Why is it that things like this are always easier said than done? :)Kikihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09995732867958680921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858077928947631725.post-77327565131104868182013-09-10T20:23:54.873-07:002013-09-10T20:23:54.873-07:00Wise words my friend! I so love your perspective on failure--it's one I need to pick up and pass on to others! Seriously, you're so right. If we put everything we could into it, it's NOT a failure. Not at all. It was a success; maybe not in the way we (or the world) sees fit, but it was a success because we tried.

I need to catch up on your blog girl! I'll be sure to stop by sometime this weekend. Based on what you wrote though, I want you to know that YOU DID NOT FAIL! I felt like I did when I moved back home from the dorms when I was in college. But like you said, I learned a lot about myself and what it's like to "live on my own" (even if I didn't really). I learned about me and most importantly, who I can and should rely on (God first and family second).

Thank you for teaching me, girl! I so appreciate your encouraging, insightful words + honesty. Hugs! :)Kikihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09995732867958680921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858077928947631725.post-88977787889184130832013-09-06T14:16:42.238-07:002013-09-06T14:16:42.238-07:00Good post, girl!! But really, even if it ends in failure...failure in and of itself only comes by personal neglect, laziness or some other negative character trait. Whereas the failure to perhaps reach a goal is never failure when you pursued it with everything you had to offer, giving it your best shot. Trying something new. That's never failure.

I've been sort of beating myself up today over having to move home (refer to blog post), feeling like somehow I failed the moving out on my own thing, that I disappointed all the people who believed in me. When really, moving home was sort of taken out of my hands by forced beyond my own control. When really, I was a success at living on my own - I did it! I paid for my life, I planned my day, I bought and cooked my own food...and in the long run, found out a lot about myself, as well as, in a sense, finding out who "Kellie" might really be. Just because my faithful job had to let me go all those months ago and the job I was able to land didn't pay the same doesn't reflect on my ability to do the whole independent living. It just means...things got tight and things got hard. Beyond my control.

And now I've been rambling, but all that to say...thanks for this!! I sort of needed it. :)Kelliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07285214309808207294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858077928947631725.post-12507033136791108702013-09-06T10:15:50.622-07:002013-09-06T10:15:50.622-07:00Um, can you just be my personal cheerleading team?...Um, can you just be my personal cheerleading team? Jenni (the creator of the link-up and challenge) wrote on her blog that there's no pressure at all! I know a lot of other people who are just choosing certain prompts, so I encourage you to do the same! :)Kikihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09995732867958680921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858077928947631725.post-29770911282247366122013-09-05T13:15:35.793-07:002013-09-05T13:15:35.793-07:00I couldn't have said it better, my friend.
