I love any book/tool that helps you find more reasons to praise Him. I was just reminded today at church that I need to put my hope in Him and really just praise Him for all that He's given me--especially forgiveness! :) Anyway, I need to go check out that book, it sounds like a great one!Kikihttp://www.initstimeblog.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858077928947631725.post-75532648679404857342014-09-21T19:12:23.710-07:002014-09-21T19:12:23.710-07:00Please ignore the gap of time between when you wro...Please ignore the gap of time between when you wrote this and how I'm now commenting.

I recently found a book on Amazon that is a 30 day devotional -- The 30 Day Praise Challenge and it gives daily devotionals, questions to reflect on, and then praise and worship songs to go along with each. I started it the beginning of September, but with moving and everything, I've missed quite a few days. Now that I'm settled, I'm ready to jump right back in. My prayer life is something that the Lord has continuously shown me needs to be improved.Jess Elysehttp://polishedarrow.weebly.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858077928947631725.post-4224942817657248232014-09-05T15:59:11.088-07:002014-09-05T15:59:11.088-07:00Thanks, Tawni! Writing it out is amazing, right? :)

And I love the idea of doodling and journaling prayers while listening to music! I do that sometimes, too, and it's super relaxing and a great way for me to decompress every night. Who knows this kind of thing could be a Circle topic someday--great idea!!Kikihttp://www.initstimeblog.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858077928947631725.post-21907372746288610392014-09-04T16:54:57.270-07:002014-09-04T16:54:57.270-07:00Love it. :) I've had a similar "relations...Love it. :) I've had a similar "relationship" with prayer in the past. I just hadn't been intentional about having conversations with God.

It hit me like a shotgun one day that God didn't hear from me very often, so I decided to "write it out" (something I have to do when I'm burdened with a thought or whatever). http://tawnimarie.wordpress.com/2014/08/12/pray-before-you-start/

Also, I've been doodling/journaling my prayers too, mostly while listening to music. That helps to get the juices flowing. :) I've never done a prayer challenge, but that does sound interesting... maybe as a Circle Topic?Tawni Sattlerhttp://tawnimarie.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858077928947631725.post-27312849978005171342014-09-01T21:04:17.286-07:002014-09-01T21:04:17.286-07:00Exactly! I used to try and avoid praying about it because I thought it would hurt too much or that God didn't want me to become too obsessed with it or anything. But doing this challenge really opened my eyes and helped me strengthen my faith in Him and rely on Him, too. :)Kikihttp://www.initstimeblog.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858077928947631725.post-74738944496030953032014-09-01T19:49:06.235-07:002014-09-01T19:49:06.235-07:00I usually write my prayers down in my journal.

I stopped for awhile, just busy-ness of life I guess, but I'm been more intentional about it lately and it makes a big difference in my relationship with Him. I've been thinking a lot lately about praying more intentionally. Thanks for sharing your story.Lindshttp://thisabode.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.com
